As far as i am aware vodafone supplied 5800 phones do not have the 1 year free downlods with music nokia decided not to use it with the 5800,but it could appear at a future date

i think voda have a plan on this for about 2 quid a month... i wonder is it any good

I enquired about this after I saw info about it on 5800. I even phoned nokia. They said it will be on later versions of the phone and it will not be able to be added to phones bought before that. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I've found the best way to get music is from sharing sites on pc and then put it on your phone.

I haven't come across any package or subscription that allows a one years free downloads with the new Nokia 5800.

Vodafone have two great music services, the first to be Vodafone MusicStation and the Vodafone Music Store.

Both offer great ways to download music on to your handset, and I am sure one of those will suit your needs.

Vodafone have two great music services, the first to be Vodafone MusicStation and the Vodafone Music Store.

Both offer great ways to download music on to your handset, and I am sure one of those will suit your needs.

What titchmaher was referring to was "comes with music" which is an app nokia are adding to 5800 go use near future, but apparently if you already own one you won't be able to get it.

Vodafone won't be offering "Comes with music" on the 5800 - The services Andrew suggested (MusicStation and Music Store) are Vodafone applications which offer a similar service instead.

And this is hardly a "stupid question", titchmaher. It's always better to ensure you know everything you're getting with the phone before you commit. If you're not sure that this phone is for you, why not check out the excellent range of Vodafone handsets in our online store to see if one catches your eye - we'll be happy to answer any questions you may have with any of them.

thanks for the info on the comes with music daniel. i read about the phone and thought it automatically came with it. i have since changeg my order to the new sony ericsson walkman phone.. so fingers crossed i will get this one been waiting over 3 weeks for the 5800.. must have been a sign

My intention wasn't to talk you out of getting a nokia 5800. Its a very good phone, its very popular so thats why they can't keep up with demand. I was just passing on info about "comes with music" app as I made enquiries about it. Hope you like your new phone anyway.

i was messed around way to much with this phone going to wrong adresses and wot not.. you certainly didnt talk me out of it dont worry about that. i got a sony ericsson w715 and love it. so all is good now. thanks for your input

I cannot get Music Station to download on to my N5800 - as you say it is 'available' - I think it is NOT for this phone, and I have subscribed to it!!
