Can someone please this up for me?
I was in Holland last week. As soon as I arrived, I received a text from Vodafone saying:
"Data costs start from £1 per 1mb per day" - Firstly, what does that mean? We're only allowed 1mb per day? Or we only pay £1 per day or £1 per mb for the first day??!
Anyway, whilst in holland, I went onto www.skysports.com and then selected the football link. Straight away I got a text saying "You are more than halfway through your 5mb allowance, the next charging step is £5 for the next 5mb" Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't that the same as £1 per 1mb?!!
This was just from accessing two websites!
So I disconnected. A few days later, I connected again to the FMMS connection to download an mms. Literally just one mms and I then received a text from Vodafone saying:
You have used more than 3mbs and been charged at a daily rate of £1.
Can someone please clear this up for me? Exactly how much will I be charged? Sounds like a complete rip off to me.

Hi there,
Yeah that doesn't really help as it just says what I have already said.
Europe: £1 for each MB up to 5MB, then £5 for every 5MB after that
That doesn't make sense. What happens if you go over 5mb?

Makes sense to me - if you go over 5MB, you get charged £5 which covers another 5mb, so you won't get charged again till you've used 10MB.
ie:
upto 1M: total cost £1
upto 2M: total cost £2
upto 3M: total cost £3
upto 4M: total cost £4
upto 5M: total cost £5
upto 10M: total cost £10
upto 15M: total cost £15
etc.

So why not just put £1 for every 1mb as affectively thats what it is.
