Yeah, Facebook is the one, I think. Sometimes gets it wrong though with some funny results.

Think I'm being a bit optimistic really. I keep checking betalabs about 3 times a day to see if there's anything new.

The face detection does actually work on the N95, but only with certain images. Found that out today while showing the app to my bro, who then went and downloaded and installed it on his 5800 and was suitably impressed.

Okay, okay, I've installed the darn thing. Quite good once pics are loaded, comments same as those already posted. It's obviously a beta but future developments could prove interesting. There. ;)

Hahaaaa! Another successful covert

Just noticed that "Point and Find" is now amongst the latest releases. It's a download to mobile job though, so I'll give it a try a bit later. Doesn't say anything about compatibility with the N96 though.

point and find seems to me to be an over stretch.

like it seems like a great idea but, i can see it 9 times out of 10 having no idea what you're pointing it at.

no harm in trying though i guess.

^ Yeah, noticed that when I tried the alpha release. Just thought some UK companies would have signed up to the service by now.

Good Morning Guys

Thanks for all your input so far on this thread about all the different applications available.

Though I must point out what Dave pointed out that Vodafone cant guartanee or support any 3rd party applications.

Though by all means please carry on leaving feedback in regards to these applications as it will help fellow users.

Anything else please let me know :)

something odd happened with the face recognition thing to me.

i had a picture of charisma carpenter wearing less clothes than was seasonally appropriate, anyway the face recognition got confused and gave her 3 faces.

one has to be careful what one says but if you were to see charisma carpenter when she's forgotten her shirt you would see why it was confused.

Anyone tried the barcode creator yet? Created a few myself works pretty good (when the reader stops mucking about and leaping all over the place). Getting ideas for t-shirts now

Just a heads-up on Photo Browser as well. There's a post on the Betalabs forum about a potential problem. If you delete an image from the gallery via Photo Browser it doesn't delete all the corresponding thumbnails that are created by the app.
There is a workaround and tips on how to remove redundant thumbnails in the OPs message.

i occasionally use the qr code when i can't be bothered to type an address into my phone.

i noticed about the hidden thumbnails. it's not really a problem as they don't take up much space. but there is a security issue i suppose.

Well, I've had Photo Browser installed for a few weeks now and only just discovered that you can zoom in on the images by using the "*" and "#" keys. Only found that out after a visit to the Betalabs forum yesterday.
