sim card

Hello Peeps

I have been with vodafone for a few years now, The sim was aquired with a nokia 6230 when they came out on contract, soits an old sim.

I was wondering does the sim card have anything to do with connection? Whats happening is I have a signal but if someone calls me it goes straight to answer phone ( not on divert and not on every call ) sometimes I am on a call and it just goes dead, same again I have a signal, sometimes I will make a call and the other person cannot hear me. these faults happened on my htc touch diamond before this phone n97 mini. The only common thing between the 2 phones is the sim card.

I know that with orange when you upgrade or change tariff they change your sim card.

thanks for any help

Glenn

Re: sim card

Hi, it may well be your sim card causing the issue, but if you are not sure you can always go to your nearest Vodafone store and they will replace it for you..

Thanks for your reply.

Re: sim card

Iit could be you have signal but is too weak to send the call (we had that on 3, have full bars, make a call or use data and we got 1/0 bars) This can happen when multple masts are nearby and the device does not know what to latch on,

Try the sim swap first though
