@kids This looks interesting!

What would you like about this?

Anything that stops drivers being distracted when driving has got (in theory) to be a good thing.

Having said that I find I rely for instructions from my sat-nav far to much, I wait for it to tell me to stop, I have had a few near misses because of that. :smileysad:

@kids I'm all for less driver distractions.

It'll be interesting to see how long we'll have to wait before this is seen in the UK.

Personally, I'd want to see security locked down tighter than anything else on the planet before I had a connected car.  There have been documented hacks - possibly only tested and not malicious so far, but it's only a matter of time*.   On top of that, if it was an even easier way in to the diagnostic system that allows a new/fake key to be created...

* Imagine driving down the motorway and getting a message that says "Give us a grand or we'll disable your brakes"!

@hrym - Can you even imagine how scary that would be?

I’m sure they will have some pretty robust security in place. :smileyhappy:

You'd hope so, but there have been some very public vulnerabilities recently, both in vehicles and elsewhere. 😱
