Childhood holidays

We all like to sit back and remember the "good ol' days", now with the summer holidays well underway,  let’s share a little about what we remember as a child and going on holiday.

Was it a magical adventure full of fun, or the dread of fighting it out with your brothers or sisters on who got the top bunk?

I always loved going on holiday to Hunstanton, Great Yarmouth and venturing up Beeston bump.

I’ll always remember the rickety old wooden roller coaster at Great Yarmouth, the snail ride I’ll always hold close to my heart - walking down the seafront eating cockles and the smell of fresh doughnuts

Where did you go, what did you enjoy?

Let’s share some memories!

I'm from the seaside too. Although Dover isn't primarily for holiday makers.

I loved going to the harbour and spending my pocket money on crabsticks and cockles!

One of my favourite places is Kearsney Abbey, that's when the family got together in the holidays for big picnics and fun.

As a child my parents always whisked us away to Scarborough

Fantastic memories held there and when Im feeling stressed I jump on a Train and visit. Even to the point of sitting in the same area on the Beach we all as a family did ?
