GPS is not working on my HTC One M8

I now only very occasionally have the GPS working when on Wi-Fi but, for the last 3 weeks, it does not work outside at all. I have tried installing GPS Fix and GPS Toolkit but they don't do anything to remedy this.

As I have frequently used the GPS when out and about, this is very irritating so I would very much appreciate help on this one.

Try a soft reboot by turning it off and on.

However create a back up to preserve your information.

I have tried turning it off and on many times and that made no difference.

I have also tried the suggestions on your first link a few times and again nothing improved.

As for doing a factory reset, that really frightens me as I have so many things on my phone and am worried that the back-up might not work properly.

Any other suggestions welcome, though !

As long as you back up properly and if warranted back up a few ways you should be fine.

I would suggest firing out a Google search too.
