My Nokia is automatically downloading e-mails from my Outlook account every day and the settings don't give me the option to do this manually. It is costig me money whenever I turn it on. So it is not on at all. Sort of defeats the object.

Hi,

Most email apps are geared towards pushing or fetching new emails from the server.

Their really should be the settings in your phone your unable to locate,to change how frequently the phone requests this and wether you want it manually or set to a particular period it checks the server for new emails.

Which Nokia phone model are you using.

Perhaps their is an alternative email App you could download which has the settings options you require.

Or delete the Outlook Settings and manually log into your email account.

Hi. If I open outlook on my work windows phone then touch the 3 dots in the bottom right corner a menu opens, touch settings, then sync settings, then there is a download new content section open that and you can set the sync you want..
