Apple iPhone - App recommendations and discussion

If you're a serious birdwatcher then the new 'Birds of Britain and Ireland (Pro Edition)' from Birdguides is a must-have app. It's a bit expensive at £15 but it includes masses of details on 271 species.

Does it have Katy Perry and Megan Fox I could watch them "birds" all day long :D

Keep 'em coming - It's good to pimp your new iphone 4 :-)

Is there an App for Vodafone which shows remaining minutes, data used, texts sent etc. - sure I saw a screenshot earlier somewhere?

You can use DataMan app to monitor your data use in real time. You can define 4 custom usage thresholds. Then you will be notified when you exceed the thresholds. This will help to stop additional charges on your bill. You can find DataMan in the App Store.

Apple iPhone - App recommendations and discussion

I'm surprised no one has praised the TomTom app yet. Not cheap, I know, but bloomin brilliant. I bought it after my original TomTom was stolen, mostly because it was cheaper to buy the app than the equivalent gadget ann because I'm fairly certain that I will not leave the phone in the car accidentally, like I did with the satnav.

Anyway, I've had 3 complete updates now, so it's always totally up to date, it works great even without the £100 cradle they try to push at you. So I can't recommend it enough.

Quadcamera = a sort of Lomo camera

Muybridgiser - shoots motion sequences like those by Muybridge

7 Megapixel camera

Camera+ (for some of the editing functions only)

Yahoo Mail

New York Times

Sleepmaker Rain = soporific.

Ocado
Tesco

Postcards: German mail send postcards you create from your camera roll. Works

Re: Apple iPhone - App recommendations and discussion

I have found lots of little apps for my Handset so far, all of them equally usefull. However, one of the apps I found on the App Store that really interested me was one called Proloquo 2 go, which allows people with special needs such as autism and downs to type emails or texts using picture recognition. It has over 7000 words in it's vocab and is ideal for parents who have children with these conditions to communicate easier. It does have a steep price tag of £109 !! However, I thought it would be really cool if Vodafone could offer this service to customers who pay a certain amount on contract for their iPad/iPhone price plan. As far as I am aware. this is not a service mentioned on your Disability services section at all...

Just thought I would throw it out there, and see what the Mods make of it, feel free to reply when u can....

Hi Spitfire400,

Thanks for posting, that does look an excellent app. I'll feed your suggestion back to the relevant people.
