Hi All,
I wasn't sure where else to put this query. I have a Vodafone handset, but a SIM with ManxTelecom as I live on the Isle of Man and there are only two service providers here.
I have aVodafone Cute 547
I have a lot of SMS (text) messages which I want to save and keep, but my Archive and Inbox for messages on my phone are both full. I have a USB lead for my phone and have plugged it into my laptop. I regularly download my photos and videos from my phone onto an external hard drive. Can I access and save my messages in the same way? I'd like to be able to pull them off my phone to make space, but save them and still be able to read them on my laptop.
I have located a folder called SMSArch, which I assume is my text message archive. Will this be just the messages saved in archive on my phone, or all the ones in the inbox too? When I try to open the files in the folder Windows says it can't read the file because it doesn't know what it is. I think the files are "A" files, is there a piece of software I can download that will allow me to read and save these these files?
Thanks very much.
Sarah

Something I found very helpful was the "Screenshot" function on the Samsung Galaxy Ace. You can perform this by holding down the home button (The middle square button) for a second then hit the Standby button (The rectangle button on the right hand side of your phone) - (there are many YouTube video's on how to take a screen shot) This is perfect, because not only do you get the message but you also get the Time / Date of message sent. In essence you get an actual picture of what is on your phone (The same function as "Screenshot" on a laptop / computer) Hope this helped. Below I will attach a help youtube link on how to "screenshot"
