Re: Google mobile updates

Thanks for that VT, tried the cloud printing and it worked fine, although there does not seem to be a print option from the Gmail app, only if you go in from the browser.

But the weather thing I cant get to work properly, I get my location with 3 day forecast but there is no slider, maybe no full support for UK yet for this one. Or I am doing something wrong!!

Re: Google mobile updates

The weather one worked for me.  did you just put weather into google then enter your location at the top of the search results?  That's all I did and got the sliding bar, which works well.

Re: Google mobile updates

Tried it again with same result, temp and weather description on the left hand side with 3 weather pictures for Tue/Wed/Thurs to the right.
I am in a rural area, maybe they have not programmed in all locations yet, nearest city is Aberdeen and I put that in as location and everything appeared, slide bar etc.

Re: Google mobile updates

That makes sense, I'm sat in the centre of London so I guess that was always going to be somewhere that worked.

Re: Google mobile updates- Gesture search

Well got the printing thing working not bad, but yes you need a windows pc, but google chrome needs to be open and you need to be logged in. So the idea of been able to print a document as your on your way home runs a bit thin you have to leave your computer on and not in stanby ummmm, my wifi printer works with out my pc turned on so it is cheeper to do wifi printers are getting more popular yes this fills a gap but having your pc left logged in to your google account is not a good idea.

Re: Google mobile updates- New app from Google- Androidify

For any of you who have lots of contacts with missing pictures, Google has released today a new App called Androidify.

Basically it allows you to create different avatars based on the Green Android logo. You can then give them a name and save them. Then press share.

Its in the market and they've also created a web site for it:

androidify.com
