Hi there. My lg viewty has some major faults. I was told in the vodafone shop that I needed to update the software but there is no software update for this model. The faults are as follows: Will not make/receive calls despite full signal Will not send/receive texts despite full signal Touchscreen randomly stops working but works on reset Ringtone randomly plays despite no call and will only stop on reset Switches itself onto silent mode constantly Alarm does not go off This phone is my only means of communication. It has caused me to be late for work before, and now I'm looking for a new job I can't make or get calls. Very frustrating. Any ideas?

First and foremost a very warm welcome to the eForum, it is great to see new users here!

Thank you for your post; I understand how frustrating it can be to have a faulty device.

From what you have stated on your post it sounds like more than just one software issue, as a precaution it may be worth checking your settings are correct using our Help Centre.

It may be worth taking it back to a store to get the handset assessed, they can then advise you of your options, although I would strongly recommend backing up your contacts and information because if you decide the best action is for it to be sent of for repair the handset may be wiped.

To save your information I would recommend using an app called 'Vodafone People' which will sync your contacts with an online account, then when you receive the handset back you can re-install this and sync your contacts back onto the handset.
