How do I sync my phone with outlook?

Unfortunately, there isn't a desktop sync solution for Android like iTunes or BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

Your best bet is to follow the process in the following Vodafone Tech Team video:

Although the video says it is for the HTC Magic, the process is the same for your Moto G.
