I am in a rather fortunate position in that I recently had my phone stolen!
I will explain!
I had an N97 which was in theory a good phone, but I could never get certain applications that came with it to work at the same time. But overall I enjoyed the smart phone experience.
However having quickly scanned the forums it seems that vodafone don't seem to have the back up that smart phones need for the idiots like me who what to use smart phones, either in resolving software issues or the personel on the phones that understand the issues.
Having my phone stolen means that I now have insurance monies that can enable me to start a fresh. I can either stay with VF or pay off my contract and go elsewhere.
So my question is two fold. What is the best all round touch screen smart phone? and if I move away from VF, am I going to experience the same lack of assistance for idiots like myself from other networks when it comes to trying to iron the inevitable software/application bugs?

Hi thebear,
It's not often you hear someone saying that they're fortunate to have had their phone stolen!
In terms of what's the best smartphone around, there are a few to choose from,l and ultimately it'll come down to your own personal preference - I'm sure though that our fantasitc forum members can give you advice based on their own personal experiences
In terms of support, we're always here to help you with your handsets, even if you end up with a phone that we don't range we'll do our best to help you

HTC HD2 surely?
Whilst Vodafone may have their faults (as do all mobile service providers) I am glad to remain their customer.
Long may our relationship remain mutually beneficial.

i gotta say, for someone who is worried about backup and support, the iphone has got to be your choice, just due to the massive userbase and the fact that Apple lock the phone down so you can only do as they permit you to do....
As for suport levels, youre going to get the same level of support anywhere you go, but with the iphone you have the advantage that the Genius Bars at Apple shops will be able to give you expert hands on advice.
