Saw this, and wondered if anyone had any further info?

Re: Vodafone Android Market?

Hi,

Has anyone else had the 'My Apps' button in the Android Market replaced with 'Vodafone'?

Re: Vodafone Android Market?

it'll be happening to everyone on Vodafone.

no real surprise - the US carriers have been doing this for some time now.

utterly pointless, IMO, and mildly irritating, but essentially harmless.

Re: Vodafone Android Market?

It's not just vodafone that are doing this now. It seems HTC & SE are doing it. See the thread here

Re: Vodafone Android Market?

cheers for that Nabs. I didn't realise the handset manufacturers had begun to get in on the act - before it changed, my Arc had the generic MyApps.

I can see the point, from a manufacturer/carrier point of view - I know that SE have got some nice little apps they've

developed themselves, and alos all sorts of plugins for the Timescape interface.

personally, i don't like it, but I'm not that irritated by it. More irritated by bloatware, of which there is remarkably little on the Arc.

My old T-Mobile Desire was loaded with crap after the last update, including several TM Germany apps!
