Hi,
One of our frequently asked questions is about tethering.
If you are on one of our new price plans, launched on 1 June 2011, you will be able to tether using your standard monthly data allowance. These price plans are available to new and existing customers and data allowances vary from device to device, so for more information, you can visit our online shop.
Existing customers can transfer to the new price plan without extending their commitment provided the monthly charge remains the same or is more than their previous price plan.
Customers who tether their device tend to get through their data allowance faster, therefore we would always recommend that a an additional data bundle is taken out to make it easier to manage costs and avoid bill shock.
For light but regular tethering, we recommend our £5 bundle of 500MB of data (which also includes 100 MMS) and for heavier users we recommend our £15 for 2GB bundle. Occasional, light use of tethering shouldn't cause you to exceed your data allowance. However, if you do exceed your monthly allowance, you will be charged at the "out of bundle" rate of £5 per 250MB of data used.
Thanks,
The eForum Team.
