Re: Missing credit.

I have took the battery and sim out of  the phone and put them back in again and the missing credit has still not appeared.

Hello basfg

As well as the Blackberry Internet service, you also need a web allowance.  BIS only provides the access point for Blackberry services, if you have been using your BIS, you will be connecting to the internet and downloading data.

If you do not have a web allowance, you will be charged the daily rate of £1.00 per day.  Take a look at Vodafone Freeebees, you will then be able to get your internet access as a Freebee.

Accessing the internet will most likely be where your credit has been spent.

Also, did you have an IOU which was repaid ?

BIS not working.

On Monday I got a new sim card for my Blackberry 8520 curve. I then subscribed for blackberry internet service and the £5 was taken (regarding my previous thread of missing credit, customer services returned the missing £5). But BIS is not working and on the services page it shows it as not connected.  I read on a previous thread to check and register on the host rooting table, where it says no entries, which I have done but this has not resolved the problem.

Billy.

Re: Missing credit.

Update- I phoned customer servies who could not find any record to where the credit has gone so the £5 has been returned to my account.

Re: Missing credit.

Hi basdfg,

To be honest it does sound like the BIS activation has not gone through correctly.

Can I ask if the signal bar is showing gprs or GPRS next to it?

Also if you select options – devices – advanced system settings – host routing table – press the blackberry button – select register now.

Do you get a registration confirmation?

Are you able to use the internet on the handset?

Have you set up an email on the handset?

If you don’t get a registration confirmation you will need to opt into the BIS services again by calling 40035 from your handset.

Re: Missing credit.

Hi basdfg,

Sometimes it can take a few attempts at doing this for everything to fully update.

I do however recommend you try resending your service books as follows:

Setup > Email Accounts > Log In > Service Books > Select ‘Resend Service Books’

Once you’ve done this try updating on the HRT again. Let us know how you get on :smileyhappy:

Cheers,

Jenny

Re: Missing credit.

Hello nick1296,

Has the BIS subscription now been activated?

If not we'll need to have a look so I've sent you a PM which can be accessed here. If you could follow the instructions in the PM and send us your details one of the team will be with you as soon as they can.

Cheers,

LeeH
