I also don't want to waste my time on the phone to some douchebag in a call centre!

Thanks. I did set up the APN, but I didn't do it while connected to Wifi. It did connect to the network, I just didn't get the Vodafone app in Network operators.

 

Anyway, after I was able to top up on my Vita, the code arrived within a few hours, so I'm happy. The Vodafone icon appeared the next time I connected to wifi, so all's well. :smileyhappy:

Like to say a big thanks to Dave for all his help . Got my code now and all is back to normal now lol. Rest ov you guys be patient because he really is trying to help you out and the only one that will. Once agian thanks bud.

Hi all ,

 

Ok bought my Vita on Wednesday , Topped up vita as per instructions first i used a £5 top up voucher and i waited for nearly 48hrs and still no code , now i have read on here another way of setting up . so i did the same up again turning my WIFI off and just using 3G but this time i topped up using my Visa debit card . i have received both emails confirming i have topped up but still no code ?!?! and its no 5 days on from purchasing this machine ...

 

i have just checked my online account and its only showing £5 ? not the £10 pound i have topped up with ? so i decided to call vodafone . now bearing this in mind before i called them that i am also a pay monthly customer and have 5 accounts with vodafone which after today wont be re-newed ..

 

so i call at 10am get passed pillow to post for about 50minutes then left on hold for around 20 minutes then after 5 minutes the woman cut me off !! i cant believe how bad this service has been and how bad i was treated considering i spend roughly £210 a month with vodafone

 

Could some one off here please contact me to get this sorted out..

 

1 Wipeout code 5 days late ?

 

2 only £5 on my account when i have topped up 2 x £5's

Hopefully I'll be receiving a similiar call soon and get this resolved; the fact that my original voucher was mis-printed and I then had support cancel the voucher and add the credit to the account, (which they failed to set up properly), may put me in a very unique circumstance, (I've still got the voucher receipt by the way).

 

I'm able to use my 3G somewhat efficiently, mind.

 

Any reason on the handle name change Dave?

 

I think it's obvious here that some funding needs to be given to the phone support so they have a clue, and some of them need to be reminded that it's our custom that pays their wages; whilst most people on phone support are polite; some are either sarcastic, rude, or criminally inept.

 

Dave's actually putting some effort in, but Vodafone needs to give you additional resources; ask them if you can get another person to work with you to resolve this; if the network is down, that means the work-load is out-weighing the efficiency at which you can operate; you need some help in resolving this.

 

Saying that, the website itself is as slow as moss, has numerous bugs, and seems to be in need of a major overhaul.

 

Half of us can't log in, if we can we've got to do our first top-up a certain way; sometimes it lags so much it makes the browser sometimes look as though it's "not responding"....and my system is a few generations ahead of what you can buy in PC stores.

 

But yeah, ask your Supe's for more human resources Dave; this way you'll be able to clear the back-log faster and be able to manage cases more efficiently; as more PS Vita's get sold, the more people will have this issue.

 

I'm awaiting 2 things; the first is my copy of WipeOut 2048, the second is the visit of my fiancee from Virginia for my birthday; we've been together for almost 10 years and have never met before, (she sent me a present that arrived today, which I'm not allowed to open until my birthday on 8th March....hopefully my PS Vita code will be resolved by then).

Hi Dave

 

I also have not recieved any code for the game.  I have managed to register the sim and toped up which took hours of time on the phone to many diffrent people.  I could not even email because that part of the vodaphone site is not working.  I tried live chat and the member of staff kept on saying that they would ring me, they could not understand that I has a ps vita not a phone so I just gave up.  I am hoping that you can help me before making a formal complaint.

Dear Vodafone Dave,

I've tried countless times to register my vita on the set-up My Account page. I get as far as getting past the security code successfully entered then filling in my details name, date of birth, setting up password etc. But then it comes up with the error "Some Business Exception has occured while processing registration/subscription" when trying to register my account. I was wondering if this because my sim is not yet activated. If I wanted to Top-Up online can I use Top Moblie Boardband minimum £5 Tablet Top-up so that I can then get my free Wipeout 2048 code. When I called the Helpline he told that he told me to leave it because he wasn't sure. I'm not happy about this because I solely bought my 3G vita because of this great offer I feel very let down by Vodafone, because of this poor service. Please can reply with a solution to this problem, Thank You.

Ok, i am not in the same predicament as everyone yet? but would like to limit my chances of not being successful with receiving a wipeout code if possible. So please can i be advised on the best cause of action in getting my Vodafone 3G PS Vita Sim card registered, activated & wipeout code as there seems to be alot of confusion and mis-information being thrown around. Firstly i would prefer to create a Vodafone account from which my Vodafone 3G PS Vita Sim can be registered too, which so far i am having great difficulty with via the Vodafone website. I enter my PS Vita Vodafone 3G number then it sends a security code to my PS Vita, i then enter this as instructed on the Vodafone website and proceed to input my personal details then when i go to create the account i get 'A business error has occured please contact customer support' error message? Please can the Tech Team help?

 

Edit: seems like i'm not the only one having this problem with creating an account judging by the above post. Please Tech Team can you sort out these bugs on the Vodafone website.

 

Until i have an account which my Vodafone 3G Sim card can be linked to i won't be topping up any credit, so please can you sort this Tech Team

You will not be able to set up your My Account until the SIM is activated, however you can TopUp online using either the Mobile Broadband or the Tab link as long as it is mobile broadband you are topping up, if you chose to use this method instead of using your device to TopUp you will need to contact our PAYG team so they can provide you with the activation code or I would be happy to check for you.

 

I have sent you a Private Message so I can check this once you have topped up and all you need to do is follow the instructions.
