I got my 3G Vita on launch day but have not yet gotten around to activating the sim and topping up, and there doesn't seem to be any single source with clear instructions to:
- Activate the SIM
- Topup with £5
- Get the WipEout HD code
Can one of the Tech Team please provide some clear instructions/guidance?

Hello
I've been trying for about two weeks now on and off trying to top up my 3g vita to get the wipeout code and no luck.
I was directed to this forum yesterday, followed the video guide and pointers provided and still i get the error everyone else is getting the:
Unable to do due to temporary problems AND the incorrect number one even though ive use the same credit car don other sites the same day i tried different cards still thr same problem.
could you offer assitance?

Just to clarify the previous post - I've not been able to top up my Vita SIM either on the device itself or via a browser on a PC, I always get the error:
Sorry - some of the details we need from you are either incorrect or missing.
Please check them and try again.
- Unfortunately we are unable to process your request because of a temporary problem with our online service. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. Please try again later.
The page flags my card number as the problem but my card number is correct - I've used the card many times before and all other details are correct.
Can someone offer me some help please?

WARNING
just a heads up to anyone who hasnt been able to get thier vita/wieout code thing sorted
they will not do it
I got the pm followed their instructions, got a phone call 2 days later saying sure no problem we'll get it fixed.
they then passed me to the billing side and charged m,y card £5 THEN told me the offer no longer existed (it expired 31st March a fact noone mentione don the forums)
i then obviously requesxted they cancel the £5 charge as I wa sonly topping it up for the wipeout code and they said they couldnt do it and offered me an additional £5 credit which i turned down stazting that i'd been mislead into topping up the sim byt the first call which assured me they'd have no problens sending me a code
finally i got them to agree to refund me but it's going to take sevral days and need another phone call to confirm card details .
so to all trying to top up their sim to get the card DONT BOTHER there are no wipeout codes to be had regardless of what they tell you and it's just a scam to get you to top up your sim and then hopefully keep topping it up
I just thought i'd best warn people so they don't get screwed over either

According to the Vodafone website - the Wipeout offer is valid until March 2013 - as taken from:
http://www.vodafone.co.uk/personal/mobile-internet
Your TopUp must be made online using your PlayStation Vita, or on our website, between 22 February 2012 and 21 March 2013. This offer is only valid for TopUp's made on the SIM provided with your PlayStation Vita.See full terms and conditions.
So I'd check that - the offer shouldn't have expired already.

As i said I'd been tryiong for the past two weeks. recieved a pm from the guy giving me the email adress to email my sim number to.
I then got the phone call alst night and the guy told me no problem we can top it up now and if you dont get the code in 48 hrs we can generate another one after we check some ssecurity details
After that he transferred me to a scottish guy in the billing department who took my card details topped up my card £5 and THEN told me the offer no longer applied after billing my card ( i even said before he took the details I was minly doing it for the Wipeout offer as the 3g wouldnt be required immediately)
i then asked for a refund as no code = no interest in 3G as I had been tricked. he then said they couldnt do it.
Finally they agreed to credit my sim card with 10 then TRY to refund that as they said they couldnt refund £5 but I still need to wait around for a phonecall to regive them my cc details
So all I have for my touble is £5 off my card, no Wipeout code & having to wait around for a call just to get back the money they never should have taken if the offer was invalid. I'm thouroughly disapointed. this my first experience with Vodafone and is doubtful i will ever use them for anything in future as being lied to just to get money off me is not acceptable business practice it wa sonly £5 but the deception itself is what angers me more and is why i've tried to prevent others having to undergo the same trouble
I'm also going to have this posted on several media sites as doubtless there are many others in the same position. and it's not right that they should waste their time if it can be avoided. it's not our fault the vodafone servers wouldnt work after all

The offer most definitely hasn’t expired and as such we can still get you a game code for you to use.
So we can do this you simply need to reply to Dave’s email directly and we will then be able to issue this to you.

I'm also in the same position.
Can't topup by PC, get temporarily unavailable service ....
Wifi on Vita is off, but can't get to any webpage. Signal is ok, get [H] if I lean out the window. Error NW-2305-0 pops up after it timesout.
Would pm someone helpful, but forum won't let me see my private inbox (access denied).

Hi
I've managed to successfully top up my SIM with £5 using my Vita (which seems to be a success compared to other people on here!), but my problem is when I try to register an account, I keep getting the error "Some Business Process Exception has occurred...." that everyone else on here seems to be getting. I get this message on both my Vita and my Win7 laptop.
I did one of those online help chat things directly with Vodafone and eventually was told that I couldn't register because I had been given a recycled number and that number had previously been linked to someone else's account, and the only thing I could do was to take my Vita into a Vodafone store and they would sort everything out for me.
Unfortunately I can't easily pop into a Vodafone store so I was wondering if there was some other way this could be sorted?

On another (non-Vodafone) forum, I found a partial solution. Apparently sometimes the wipeout codes are not sent via text/email.....I found mine on the Vita under Settings > Network Operators > Messages from Network Operator.
So I now have my wipeout code (and safely downloaded the game!), I just need to be able to set up an online account now so I can see how much PAYG credit!!

Hi,
Ive just picked up a 3g Vita but theres no sim with it. Can I just go to a Vodafone store and get one for the Vita and will I qualify for the wipeout offer if I did that?
