Hi mozza54 and welcome to the eForum
Yes you should be able to pop into a store and pick one up. All you need to do then is top up by £5 and we’ll text you your code.
Hi Chrisloannou78 and welcome to the eForum to you too
I’m sorry to hear you are having issues with your online account, I’ll send you a private message over that explains how to get in touch with us and we’ll get this sorted.
Regarding your wipeout code, have you tried what robhuxtable has suggested?
You can find your PM inbox here
Thanks
Wayne
If you have a spare minute could you please take the time to fill out a short feedback form about me?
You can do so here

Just a quick update:
I ended up getting my wipeout code regardless of what the guy on the billing side had said so maybe theres some misinformation on their side?
So thanks to whoever it was sorted it out (if it wasn't automated) I thought best to reply so people knew the score =)

Hi!
I've just topped up online via my PC, not my VITA; I got a text to the VITA confirming the top-up, but can't make an account for some reason.
Will the WipeOut code still arrive?
Thanks!

Not impressed with Vodafone systems and thinking maybe I should have given the 3G Vita a miss and gone wi-fi only.
Topping up a SIM with O2 and Virgin is so simple, how has Vodafone managed to make the process so difficult?!?!
1. Unable to create an account online.
Tried to go through the process, but didn't receive the security text message needed to complete registration.
When I retry, I receive the following error: -
Sorry - There seems to be a problem with your account. Please try again or contact us.
Sorry - we're unable to process your request right now. It won't take us long to fix this issue. Please try again later.
2. Tried topping-up without an account from my Vita and PC, but still no joy. Just get the following error: -
Sorry - some of the details we need from you are either incorrect or missing.
Please check them and try again.
Unfortunately we are unable to process your request because of a temporary problem with our online service. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you. Please try again later.
It seems to highlight my credit card number as the issue, regardless of the card I try.
Judging by the 30 pages of related issues in this thread alone (in less than 2 months!), this is obviously not an isolated incident and shows what a mess Vodafone has made of this launch.... #FAIL
Could somebody please let me know how I can gain the mobile access promised to me when I purchased the Vita.... at present the device is not 'fit for purpose' due to Vodafone's incompetence.

Hey guys,
Thanks for your posts.
Could you all confirm you've followed the steps here?
If so, and you're still having problems with any aspect of the VITA set-up then we'll need to intervene.
I've sent you all a PM which can be accessed here. If you could follow the instructions in the PM and send us your details one of the team will be with you as soon as they can.
Cheers,
Lee

Many thanks. I followed theses instructions and was able to top up. One thing was I didn't put wifi back on before going to voda top up page, the 3G sim allows access to that site credit or not. I also put visa credit instead of debit like you said. This post should be stickied
MikeyFett wrote:My problem is now fully resolved and I downloaded my copy of WipeOut 2048 this morning.
This is how I fixed the top-up issue:-
- Switch off the Wi-Fi on the Vita (this 'forces' the Vita to use the 3G simcard for internet connections, even though you will not have any top-up credit at this stage)
- Try accessing the internet (eg. Google homepage) via the browser application; it probably won't work but this has the effect of making the simcard connect and register itself with Vodafone
- After you have tried that 3 or 4 times, go to the Playstation Network option and try to sign in via the Vita; again this probably won't work but try it a few times - this has some effect re activating the simcard aswell
- Now switch the Wi-Fi back on again
- Go to the Network Provider option and select the top-up link (the red square Vodafone icon in the middle of the screen) which links you to the Vodafone top-up webpage
- Fill in the details and try the top-up
- I found that this webpage would not accept my Visa Debit card (said 'invalid card type') so I tried a Visa Credit Card and it worked; I was able to top-up £5 onto the Vita
- I then received a message from Vodafone on the Vita to say the sim was registered
- Approximately 9 hours later I received another 'Welcome to Pay-As-You-Go' message from Vodafone on the Vita which contained my free WipeOut 2048 code and I downloaded the game
NB. You must do the top-up via the Vita itself to get the code; if you do it via PC/Mac/mobile phone/other you will not get a WipeOut code.
Hope this helps someone out there.
Cheers.

Tried everything in getting this to work, made a topic with no reply. Still stuck. How can this not work for everyone and yet Vodafone haven't bothered fixing it or at least releasing a statement acknowledging that it isn't working?

Hi there Millerrommell,
Thanks for your post.
I appreciate this is what it looks like but for the vast majority their device is working with no intervention needed from us.
I've sent you a PM which can be accessed here. If you could follow the instructions in the PM and send us your details one of the team will be with you as soon as they can.
Cheers,

I have followed this instruction. But my problem is I only have visa debit card. I have tried to select visa debit, visa electron or visa credit as the card type. The top-up system always says: card type you've selected doesn't match with card number. How can I get the sim card top-up and get wipe out code? Please help me.
