Hi
I have to travel outside the UK alot, so I need to top up my childrens phones online, I can buy calling credit for them without any problem, I have them on friends and family without any problem, but if I try to buy freedom packs for them I cannot as the only mobile number that I can buy for is my own, this does not seem logical, as I need to make sure that they have means of contact at all times.
Please provide a satisfactory solution to an unsafisfactory situation.

as far as i am aware you are unable to buy a freedom pack online at this point in time. Only in a vodafone store, over the phone to customer services and then on 2345

Welcome to the Vodafone eForum

Aliby121 is correct here and currently we don’t have the facilities in place for customers to be able to add a freedom pack via the website.

The reason behind this is once you have topped up the SIM we have to manually add a service to the number for the freedom pack to work correctly however this will be something we will be looking at changing hopefully in the near future

Any idea what you mean by "in the near future"? That post is 8 months old, and I still can't seem to be able to buy a freedom pack via the website.

In fact I was unable to find anything about how to buy a freedom pack on the website at all - the only relevant information was provided here on the forum b other vodafone customers. I'm not sure that's the best way to encourage people to use this service.

Hi Stuffir35,

We are always looking at ways of improving our online experience however as it stands this isn't a function that has been implimented, unfortunately I don't know if or when this will be added however in the meantime it can be added by calling 2345.
