Can I just topup in any shop that i see sign show topup using my swipe card if i want freedom packs 10 pound can shop do that for me?

When you have topped up, call 2345 and follow the prompts to activate your Freedom Pack. 

Its easy enough to do.

Ok I will try that when i topup next time cos i thought you would have to go vodafone store to get that freedom packs thing?

hiya, i just got my freedom sim card and popped it in my motorola and tried to call the number and it says the phone number is unavailable...do i have to top up before i can receive calls ???????

Hi Hawks

You need to activate the PAYG SIM before you are able to receive calls.  Just make a quick chargeable call and you will be up and running.  You will find a small amount of preloaded credit just sufficient to activate the SIM.

Hi Hawks,

If you mean you are porting your number over from Virgin, the number may not be ported over quite yet.  How long has it been since you gave Vodafone the PAC ?

As soon as you Virgin SIM shows as inactive, your number should be with Vodafone.  A quick turn off and on of the Vodafone SIM, make the quick call to active the SIM and it should work.

There is never a stupid question where mobile phones are concerned !

A chargeable call, just call your landline, answer and hang up, that will activate the SIM.

Ann....tried it twice and its saying you have used all your credit pse op up !! well i tired with all your help...so will just wait and top up to receive calls on the vodafone sim...thanks

Hi Hawks, I know you have posted this about 10 days ago but if you havent got your sim working by now you can send a free 'chargable' text message 9770 and this will activate the sim for you.

As 2345 is a free top up number it wont activate the SIM and although AnnS is corerct it should have came with a small amount of pre loaded credit - unfortunatelly not all of them come as equipt
