This is a call from our Sales Team about new products or services that may benefit you.
They will call from time to time, its standard industry saled practice. If your happy with your current contract and plans then there isn't a real need to take the call.
If you no longer want to receive the call you can follow this link to be taken off the list.

The Company making calls from 08080996746 are called LBM - http://www.lbm.co.uk/ based in Manchester in the UK
They are a 3rd party sales company selling upgrades, promotions and sales from Vodafone / on behalf of Vodafone.
No one in the call centre is a Vodafone employee, yet Vodafone have given them full access to account details to sell on behalf of Vodafone. I'm very unhappy about this as I already had Marketing Preferences switched off and have had nothing in the way of Sales contact from Vodafone until now and I completely disagree with Vodafone handing out my details to a 3rd party company not based in a Vodafone Office and trying to sell me products/services despite my Marketing Preferences being set to 'Off'.

Depending on the tarrif And phone you were looking for when upgrade time comes you may be worth speaking to the @vodafoneukdeals twitter team. They specialise in upgrades and can get some great deals! For info on how to contact them head over here and follow the instructions. They are a small and very popular team so they may not reply straight away, stick around though as one of the team will get back to you as soon as they can.

Thanks for your post. The number that contacted you is from Vodafone checking that everything is OK with your service and offering additional services and products. More information can be found here - Has Vodafone Called Me?
We'd be delighted to discuss your upgrade options. Just head over to the @VodafoneUKdeals link that Nabs has posted above and we'll be in contact

I've been receiving constant calls from this number.
The first time they asked me for loads of details and I suggested that, because they had called me, I didn't need to provide all this information - surely one question to check that a phone thief hadn't taken the call would suffice but I was being asked loads of things. I ran out of time and said I needed to end the call.
The next few times I was at work and ignored the call. Eventually I answered and explained that I wouldn't be able to speak to them during office hours and to call back after 6pm or at the weekend. That hasn't happened; instead they still call during the day. A couple of times more I've tried asking them not to call during office hours and the caller has been quite rude. Today they just said "oh right" and hung up. Quite in contrast to the "how are you today" faux friendliness they open with.
I think if this is "common practice" the standard needs to drastically improve.

I am tired (and that's putting it mildly) of cold calls from Vodafone. I just wasted another hour trying to get to the bottom of it. The Vodafone operative confirms that it says very clearly on my account that they should not call me.... but they do. They do not care.
I'm sure the other companies are as bad but at least if I vote with my feet I will have the satisfaction of not paying Vodafone only for them to annoy me.
When 0808 099 6746 called me today, I repeatedly(at least 3) asked if they were Vodafone or a company working on behalf of Vodafone. Each time they insisted they were Vodafone.
Can anybody recommend an alternative provider?

Thanks for sharing. If you'd like for my team to remove your details from any proactive calls in future, feel free to follow the instructions I've sent via Private Message. Please note that if you opt out of the calls that you won't get calls about your upgrade due date, new tariffs and promotions and that it will be your own responsibility moving forward to check you have the best value deal possible.

I've had several calls from this number and every time I answer I just get tone and then a hang up from the caller.
If this is your version of "customer service" Vodafone, then you've got a lot to learn about what your customers want!

I'd like not to recieve these calls either, ever.
Please tell me how I can stop them for good.
I'm not interested in offers. I'm afraid Ive had notthing but problems with Vodafone's customer service, I'd rather pay £5 per month more than be pestered when I dont want to me and ignored the rest of the time.

someone was finally on the other end of the phone when this number called for the 6th time, so I was able to ask them to remove me from their list.
I don't necessarily mind being called to ask if I want an upgrade (even though I don't). But why do you think ANYONE would want to be repeatedly called but have nobody on the other end when they answer? That is not just bad customer service, it's a nuisance.

Today I answered... chap was from Vodafone and becuase ive been such a great customer Vodafone have some rewards and promotions for me. I just need to give him some personal information like DoB and first line of my address. But for some reason he couldnt give me detals of the rewards before giving him this information. Oddly, the call ended very quickly when I said I wasnt interested in continuing my Vodafone contract... wasn't at all ineterested in teh bad experincies I contrinue to have with Vodafone.
Seriously? Unsolicited calls from an unrecognised number asking for personal information, I'll have to report it as a phishing scam.
