BT Openzone Wi-Fi

Hi,

I have recently upgraded to an HTC Desire S over the phone and asked for 2GB of BT Openzone WiFi to be included in my package (as per what is advertised on your website). I was assured this would be added, however upon testing the WiFi I could not log in, so I went into my local vodafone store (as i happened to be close to it) and was advised that there was no BT Openzone WiFi included on my plan, so this would be added. But upon checking my online account, it only shows that i have 500MB of BT Openzone WiFi rather than the 2GB, so I phoned Vodafone and was told that they only offer 1GB of WiFi and not 2GB, however as a long term customer I was offered 1GB of mobile internet (previosuly i have always had 500MB) and 1GB of BT Openzone WiFi. This was an acceptable solution despite 2GB of WiFi being advertised online, however this has not appeared in my account, could someone from Vodafone look into this please?

Kind Regards

Hiya,

If you're checking for any changes online, i do believe that they wont show until you receive your next bill. Then they will appear under subscriptions.

Re: BT Openzone Wi-Fi

My plans says:

Your Plan comes with 900 minutes, unlimited texts, 750MB mobile internet, 2GB BT Openzone Wi-Fi and Vodafone Data Traveller

So it is possible to get 2GB BT Openzone, although I have yet to try it.

Hi ben1390,

I've checked and we don't seem to have received your reply.

When you sent the email, did you get an automated response with a reference number at all?

If not, could you reply again for me?

Kindest regards,

Lee

Re: BT Openzone Wi-Fi

If its on your price plan, it just needs same details as your online account http://www.vodafone.co.uk/personal/mobile-internet/using-bt-open-zone-wifi/index.htm

U say its not available...are u definately in a bt opzone hotspot (as shown on the My Vodafone app) and not a bt fon hotspot?

If it doesnt have the drop down box with Vodafone on the landing page, its not a ' proper' BT Openzone hotspot

Re: Openzone Wi-If

Hi graham,

Thanks for your post here.

Basically the current status usually will indicate if a service is active or not.

As the uploaded picture shows a red symbol next to WIFI it would indicate that it hasn’t been fully activated.

To do this simply follow the link here and select business user, then select activate WIFI.

This will then prompt you for you My Account login details, simply enter these and it should then fully activate the service for you.

Once done please give this another go connecting to a BT Openzone Hotspot however you will need to make sure that you select Vodafone UK on the login screen before entering you’re my Account details for the BT Openzone Hotspot.

Re: Openzone Wi-If

Hi graham1993,

Thanks for your post here.

When it comes to logging into the BT Openzone hotspot you will first need to make sure that you are logging into a BT Openzone and not a BT Fon hotspot.

You can identify which your hotspot is by checking out the BT Openzone coverage map.

Once you have connect to the BT Openzone Hotspot you will then need to open a Web page and select Vodafone UK as your service provider, if you don’t have this option then it will usually indicate that you are trying to access a none compatible hotspot.

Once done simply enter your online account details in the login page to access the service.

Please can you try this and also try using a different BT Openzone Hotspot and let us know how you get on.
