Many thanks for your posts.
I've sent you both a PM which can be accessed here. If you could follow the instructions in the PM and send us your details one of the team will be with you as soon as they can.
In terms of the line being dead; this is normally not the case as the calls, I expect, are being made by a dialler system and when the call connects the system is trying to route you to an available advisor. But that's another story!
Send us your details and we'll be in touch

I have been getting calls from the above number 2 or 3 times a day, as i am deaf i cannot answer the phone, i logged it with customer services via e mail who replied as below:
Thanks for your email to Vodafone customer services.
I would like to inform you that these are the marketing calls from our side to inform you about the new offers available. I understand that there is no need for these calls to you. I have cancelled the marketing preferences from my side on your account.
So, you will not be receiving any marketing calls from our side.
That e mail was sent at 1632 yesterday 22/03/12, by 1800 i had received another call, today again 2 calls. How do i stop this number ringing me, as its really annoying. I have tried to stop it, but being deaf its hard work.
Any help would be appreciated.

As with removing your numbers from any marketing preferences, there is a delay in it taking full effect...not sure what vodafone quote - its can be up to between 1-7 days with most places - so they should stop soon

I e mailed Vodafone again, still getting the calls, here's the reply
Thank you for contacting Vodafone Customer Services regarding marketing calls.
I have reviewed your account and see the marketing preference service has been deactivated, and it might take minimum 30 days to update.
Please rest assured, you will not be receiving the calls after 30 days.
I will really appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.
30 days is a disgrace, I am getting the calls twice a day, why don't people give up. If I wasn't deaf I'd answer the phone and tell them to go away politely. Not happy at all.
If anybody on here can help stop the calls let me know

i've been getting calls from this number repeatedly this week, usually while i'm at work & can not answer. Whoever it was rang again this afternoon & when I answered the line was silent for a few seconds and then cut off with no explanation of who was calling or why the call was terminated.
I presume this is someone ringing me up to give me offers for being such a long standing customer, most likely the same offers which someone wasted my time with before. For reference offers that involve me spending more money, that I have repeatedly said I am not interested in, are not offers for being a long standing customer in my book, perhaps if you were to offer me money off my contract and fulfil simple requests and promises then I would begin feel like a valued long standing customer.
I believe silent calls are an offence for the purpose of causing annoyance and inconvenience, maybe vodafone would like to bear this in mind and review their adherence OFCOM policies.

We do adhere to Ofcom guidelines in regards to calls made by our outbound teams which is why we do offer customers the opportunity to opt out of these calls.
If you wish to opt out of the calls, please follow the instructions on the PM that I have sent you and our team will be able to pick this up and do the rest for you.
You can find your PM inbox here.

How can I stop it

Thanks for your posts.
The calls are made from a dialler which means when you pick up the call, the dialler will route it to the next available advisor so on occasion you will have a delay of 2 or 3 seconds before the dialler finds the advisor.
I've sent you all a PM which can be accessed here. If you could follow the instructions in the PM and send us your details one of the team will be with you as soon as they can.
