I posted on another forum about requesting thh exact date for the long awaited end of my 2 year misery! So,for the mathematicians amongst you here's a question,Vodafone contacted me by email on 31/1011 saying there was 5 months left on my contract, then i look yesterday on my online Vodafone account i see i can't update until 50 days before my contract end, date given that i can upgrade??9/03/12??So if someone can see any inconsistency between 5 months from 31/10/11 amd 50 days from 09/03/12 please tell me!

Hi Robbocop33,
To cancel your contract you must give 30 days notice.
From the dates you have given(assuming my maths is correct) 30 days before the end of your contract would be 31/03/2012 meaning your contract end date is 31/04/2012. This would also be 50 days after your upgrade date of the 09/03/2012.
Remember you can cancel your contract at any time however it will be subect to an early termination fee.
This can be worked out as follows:
(number or months remaining X monthly contract cost) -VAT@20% = Early Termination Fee.
A call to customer services on 191 will be able to give you the exact figure for your contract.

Hi robbocop33,
Many thanks for your post.
I can see Nabs has already given you some excellent advice here.
If there is anything we can help with regarding the end of your contract then please follow the instructions in the PM I've sent you which can be accessed here. If you could follow the instructions in the PM and send us your details one of the team will be with you as soon as they can.
Your PM will be waiting for you here.
Cheers,
Lee

So,the saga continues.I request contact end date, can't tell me on a forum seemingly, anyway.Get an email about a pm for me on this site.?(Couldn't they have told me contract end date in that email?)Link doesn't work?Site problem!!I tell them link doesn't work, they email me again(can't they tell me end date in 'that' email?)The link works to the pm(couldn't this pm have contained end date? No!)Anyway pm tells me to press 'contact us' tab and put a code into search box, code doesn't work!!!I eventually get an email sent to them which is supposed to be replied to in 24 hours, guess what??Never heard a thing yet!anyone would think they were deliberately spinning this out so my contract end date comes up,passes by,and i then can't get out?

The Data Protection Act prevents Vodafone giving out private details like this via email until they know it is the correct person they are speaking to. You wouldn't like your private details being sent to anybody would you?
Likewise they cannot post this on the forum for the same reasons.
The web relations team are the best guys to deal with, give them a change, they will get back to you and wil be able to resolve your issue.
And they are not 'spinning it out' they work on a first come first server basis and will get to you asap.

Hi robbocop33
Thank you for your post.
I can see that you have emailed our customer care team as the subject specified in our PM was not used which is why it has not come directly through to us.
I have responded to you via email with the required information, as Nabs has said we are unable to provide account specific details until we are confident we are providing the information to the account specific holder to comply with the Data Protection Act and for your security.
Many Thanks
DaveCD
