Hi dom11

I'm sorry to hear you're looking to leave us.

If you wanted to cancel your contract you'd be charged for the remaining line rental less VAT up to end of the contract.

I've got an email on it's way to you from your other post here now so we can confirm how much this would be when we speak to you. :smileyhappy:

Cheers, Helen

Re: Cancel my contract early

Hi, I'm also wondering about how to cancel my contract early, I have 2 months left I think (so I'm just about due for an upgrade) but the price plans I've been looking at seem quite expensive for what they include (compared to some other companies). I'd really like to stay with Vodafone as all my family is with them, but if I can get a better deal somewhere else....

Thanks. :smileyhappy:

Re: Cancel my contract early

Hi gazman19 & bsue93,

First things first a very warm welcome to the eForum family! :smileyhappy:

I've sent both of you an email so that we can look at your accounts for you. If there's anything we can do about the upgrade offers on your account bsue93, we'll be more than happy to discuss options for you. We're not a sales team and as such we're not targeted or on comission. In some cases this means we can pass the savings onto you for even better value deals! :smileyhappy:

Cheers, Ben

Re: Cancel my contract early

You will have to pay the remaining months line rental with the usual 2% discount and no VAT.

Fortunately, your contract ends July and it wont be too much to pay.

Re: Cancel my contract early

I am starting to think about cancelling my contract too. I have been with vodafone for years and the service that they are now providing is nowhere near as good as it was in the beginning. I can hardly get a signal when I leave my home and the only reason that I have one inside is because of my Sure Signal. I am sick and tired of the abominable customer service also. Quite frankly Vodafone are not holding up their side of the contract. Unfortunately I suspect it will cost me a fortune to buy out but I am certainly not staying with them when it does expire.

Re: Cancel my contract early

Hi Ian

I have replied to your email twice now and nobody has gotten back to me. I am really dissappointed with this and I'm afraid Vodafone has lost themselves a loyal customer.

Re: Cancel my contract early

Hi elliotfarseer

Thanks for your post, it's always great to see new faces around! :smileyhappy:

If you're looking to cancel your contract early you'd be charged the line rental upto the end of your commitment minus the VAT.

We can confirm how much this would be for you once we have access to your account.

I've got an email on the way to you, if you can reply to this with the information we've requested we'll be happy to get in touch to discuss the cancellation or any early upgrade options with you. :smileywink:

Cheers, Helen

Re: Cancel my contract early

Hi,

My contract is due to end on the 28/9/11, looking at the options for upgrading I have found some better deals elsewhere and would like to know how much vodafone will charge me if I end my contract 2 months early.

Re: Cancel my contract early

Hi BeccaLow

A massive warm welcome from all of here at the eForum, it's a pleasure to have you with us! :smileyhappy:

If you've got 2 months left at the end of your contract and wanted to cancel early, you'd be charged for the line rental up to the end date, less VAT.

We'd be happy to take a closer look at your account to confirm any early termination charges or to see if we could offer a cracking deal to match the one you've already seen elsewhere.

I've got an email on the way to you now, if you can reply to this we'll be in touch! :smileywink:

Cheers, Helen

Re: Cancel my contract early

I am also wanting to cancel my contract a few months early.

When canceling an account how is the final bill presented if it's payed for via direct debit? Also, Is a written/printed confirmation sent out via standard mail?

If I ask for a pac code to take my number with me to a new provider is my account automatically canceled/ended upon completion of the number transfer? (so is it just as easy to ask for a pac code, rather than cancel first, then ask for the code?).

Regards,

Darren

Re: Cancel my contract early

Hi Darren,

If you cancel your account you'll either need to give 30 days written notice, or request your PAC.

If you write in, we'll cancel your account 30 days after we receive your letter and you'll get your final invoice a few days after that.

When you request a PAC, we can issue it to you immediately and it's valid for 30 days - as soon as your number transfers it'll close your Vodafone account and generate your final invoice.

With either option, your final invoice will be as Helen mentions above - it'll contain your line rental minus the VAT and a 2% discount, as well as any call charges up to the day your line transferred.

You mention that you're looking to move to another provider - is this for a specific deal or handset?

If it's something we can help you with, I'd love to see if we can!

I've sent you an email, reply to this for me and we'll give you a call for a chat about your options :smileyhappy:
