Cancellation

I currently have untill September till my contract runs out.I have had just over £300 taken off me last year but vodafone witch was finally refunded but still not happy.

I phoned up today regarding an early upgrade and was sent from pillar to post and didnt get a proper answer. So took to twitter and they said they cant not help me.

I have been told i and a valued customer yet cant get a proper reply. There for i feel its time return back to O2 as i never had so much problems. Can you plse tell me how cancel my contract and what it will cost me.

Re: Cancellation

Just request a pac code by phone or email and use this which will cause your account to cancel and a final cancellation charge will be added to your account which will be time left x line rental excluding vat and then deduct 2%

Re: Cancellation

Hi guys,

Been with vodafone for nearly 8 years.

At the moment keep getting hammered by the enormous contract ive got tied into for last 20+ months of which i use almost nothing.

As a "valued" customer i keep getting offered ipads on great deals but after explaining that i can bearly afford to pay the bills i already receive and that i need to lower my tariff all i get is the "couldnt care less' approach all they want to do is sell me more priceplans, phones, dongles. Its a nightmare!

My bill fluctuates so much ive now worked out its would be cheaper to just buy out the contract than pay the bill until its end.

How do you go about canceling both a phone contract and internet dongle?

Re: Cancellation

If you want to pay the early termination fee - you can get the amount confirmed by calling 191.

Perhaps you would give one of the eForum Team  a chance to look at resolving any problems you have had?

Re: Cancellation

Hi folks,

lozzy88 - I'm sorry to hear you've been struggling with your Direct Debit set up. My team will be happy to look into this for you if you like? Simply follow the instructions I've sent via Private Message to reach us directly. You can find your PM inbox here. :smileyhappy:

Insertname28 - Likewise, if you'd like to find out your Early Termination Fee, you can find the instructions to reach my team in your Private Message inbox here. :smileywink:

The ETF is calculated as your core line rental (before VAT and any discounts) multiplied by the number of months remaining.

Cheers, Ben

Re: Cancellation

I am also looking into cancelling my contract. I have almost a year to go and have been unhappy with the phone choice I made. I wonder if buying out the contract is cheaper than buying the new phone!! What exactly is the charge for cancelling your contract???

Re: Cancellation

The End Termination Fee is the balance of the outstanding payments without the VAT and a 2% discount. You can find out what your exact number is by calling customer services on 191.

Re: Cancellation

Hi I was wondering if it would be possible to cancel my monthly contract.

Iv phoned up vodafone and got told how much it would cost me to cancel, which I would be happy to pay but for it to be broken down in small payments and so I got told to go online to talk to you guys from the support team.

if you could be of any help in how I go about doing this then it would be much appreciated.

Re: Cancellation

Do you mean smaller than your normal monthly payments? One of the eforum team will be along soon to help with your acount specific query.

But I'd be surprised if Vodafone would be willing to terminate your contract and give the 2% discount and no VAT and them agree to a payment plan.

It might be easier for you just to allow the contract to run out by keep paying monthly until the end of your committment period.

If you wish to terminate early, you have to pay the entire remaining balance in one lump sum, it cannot be done in instalments.

This is taken from the Terms and Conditions

e If this agreement ends before the end of the minimum period and you pay us the line-rental charges for the rest of the minimum period in one lump sum, we will reduce this line-rental payment by a rate we set. You can ask us how much this rate will be.

Re: Cancellation

Hi music19

Thanks for you post. AnnS and jeffkin have advised correctly in that if you wish to terminate your agreement early we would require the early termination fee up front in full before agreeing to cancel the agreement.

Is there a particular reason that you're looking to cancel with us. We'd love you to stay  so if there's anything that we can do for you then please do let is know.

If you're leaving because of your upgrade offer then have a chat with our fantastic @VodafoneUKdeals team who provide some of the best service and online deals Vodafone have to offer :smileyhappy:

Thanks

Simon

Re: Cancellation

Hi jeb1212,

The agent was probably referring to the "Contact Us" option at the bottom of the web page.

In order for us to cancel your account, you need to give 30 days notice is writing (this can be by email)

If you'd like us to help you with this we can - I've sent you a PM with instructions on how to contact the team, follow these and we'll be in touch as soon as we can.

You'll still need to pay for the remaining line rental on your contract if you cancel early.

You can find your PM inbox here
