Cancelling Contract - Paying Terminatio n Fee

Hello
Hoping Vodafone can help me with this.
I joined the network back in March on a 24 month contract at £15 a month.
Unfortunately since then, I've had some bad news about my job and it looks as though I'm not going to have my job for much longer (damn credit crunch). As I don't want to be tied into any commitments (please do not use the "you should have thought about that before" line, guys) I would like to cancel my contract and pay the remaining term off whilst I still have some cash.
Is is possible to pay the remaining balance off in installments, such as £100 a month? Or does it all have to be paid in one go? Hopefully I'll still have another couple of wages to come, and I know it's only £15 a month, but I would rather be clear of all money I owe until I manage to find alternative employment.
Hope this makes sense. Waiting in anticipation for advice.
Thank you.

Hi there ghostcolours,
I am really sorry to her you are at risk with your current employment. It's never nice to hear you're losing your job, trust me, I know.
I am afraid I have to be the bearer of bad news too, if you decide to cancel the contract with immediate effect, then you will be required to pay the remaining months on the contract all at once.
On the other hand, rather than cancel, and to try and save you some money, is there anyone you know that is looking to take on a contract? A friend, or a member of your family? If so, then you can request a transfer of ownership, whereby the prospective new customer would take over the comittment providing they can pass a credit check.
That may be a more suitable consideration for you.
Let me know if you have any luck with that.
Cheers,
LeeH

Hi Lee
Thanks for your reply. I had a feeling that would be the case!
I'll have a word with my colleagues in the morning and see if anyone would like to take the contract on.
I'll get back to you soon.
Thanks again for your help.
