Cancelling my mobile internet 1 month contract

Please please please can somone help me...

I signed up to the monthly mobile internet service a few months back, now my broadband has arrived so I wish to give notice.

I have emailed twice, written twice (once with recorded mail), tried to call and been cut off... I am at my wit's end! This has been going on for weeks and weeks but I have heard nothing back from Vodafone, meanwhile I am paying for a service I do not want. Has anyone else had a similar problem? How can I resolve this?

Thanks all xx

Re: Cancelling my mobile internet 1 month contract

Hi there MaisieMoo,

Many thanks for your post regarding cancellation of your mobile broadband line.

It's a shame to wish to cancel. If there's anything we can do to persuade you to stay, then please let me know what it is.

I've had a look at any emails we've received from your registered eForum address and can't find any at all.

I've just sent an email to the mentioned address. If you can reply with the requested details we'll be in touch.

Cheers,

Lee

Re: Cancelling my mobile internet 1 month contract

Hi

I am having the same issue. I purchased a dongle with a chat person online who kindly took me through the process for a 1 month contract and said i needed to give 30 days notice when i wanted to cancel. I gave the notice in May on line and unfortunatly have no record as its via the website and automatic. Never really thought id need the copy. I also had issues with the dongle it never worked. I spoke with custmer service who said i needed to 'download software' and get to a internet cafe or a friends - i explained i was away in the uk with no access to the internet hence required the dongle and hence only just a month. My bill came in yesterday and ive been charged a contract now and been told ive signed an 18 month contract. I have not at any time requested a contract I stated in the beginning I only wanted it for a SHORT time, the online chat lady said that was ok and I can cancel any time but needed to give 30 days notice. When I collected in store, after purchasing online, again I asked the chap there if i can cancel anytime and its no contract. He said no its not a contract just a monthly PayAsYouGo. I was happy.

I am totally not happy now. I do have the original confirmation email and it blatently states '1 month Contract' so how on earth can it be an 18 month contract!!
