Re: Downgrade ypl plan

You could take on a different contract at a lower price from the 18 July. If you didn't want to sign on for a specific length of time - I would suggest one of the 30 day SIM only deals or perhaps Pay As You Go that way you wouldn't have the long term committment.

Re: Downgrade ypl plan

The prices for the SIM only deals are in the links I provided you in my previous message.  You wouldn't have to cancel your contract as such - you would just be transferring it over to a 30 day SIM only plan.  Once you are eligible for an upgrade, you can do this online in the Upgrade section of your account.  Simply select the option "I want to keep my phone" and you will be offered various price plans including the 30 day SIM Only deals

Hello t3lf3r

You would be unable to change to a 30 day contract until you are in the last 30 days of your contract.

No need to give notice to cancel, you would not be cancelling your contract, only changing your tariff.  As soon as you are in the month of your present contract, come back to the forum and one of the Tech Team will be able to put you on a 30 day contract.

There are some pretty good 90 day contracts and if you take out a 12 month SIM only contract, you can save even more.

You would be unable to do that without upgrading, or taking out a change of tariff when you are due an upgrade but that would mean a further comittment.  If you want a 30 day plan, it can only be changed in the last 30 days of your current contract.

Depends what you mean by downgrade

You cannot downgrade a contract during the term

In the last 50 days you can in the same way you can upgrade to a new contract, choose to upgrade to a sim only plan of either 12 months or 3 months (with your remaining 50 days added to the end) if you wait until you are 30 days before the end of the contract you can take out a 30 day sim only plan (with your remaining 30 days added)

In general sim only plans are much cheeper than contract + phone plans and offer much better value than PAYG so whilst you are upgrading your monthly comitment is less

As explained, you are free to upgrade to any 3 or 12 month sim only plan when you are in the last 50 days of your contract or a 30 day one in the last 30 days even if the comitment is less

have a look at the price plans in the tab above to find one you like

Re: Downgrade ypl plan

Hi Hammer678,

Many thanks for your question.

As SynthFG has pointed out, if you are on a 'YPL' priceplan (you can see this online via My Account or a bill), you are unable to reduce your tariff until you're in the last 50 days of your agreement when you'd be in a position to upgrade.

Thanks

Andrew
