Hi swarren

I am sure that we can look at what offers are available for you on the HTC Sensation.

If you can reply back to the email that I have just sent we can then discuss these together :smileyvery-happy:

Thanks

Re: Early Upgrade

[ Edited ]

Hiya all im new to the forum having just stumbled across it!

I am trying, without much success, to see what is available to me as a early upgrade, I was especially keen to do this as I am starting to experience problems with my HTC Desire, which i love but fear is coming to the end of its life.

I am having problems using the website, which is if im honest is quite awkward to use. If i select my chosen handset then ask it to show me the price plan, it keeps coming up with a blank page even when i select the handsets you have recommended for me!

Is anyone else having problems too or am i a jinx?

I did manage to look at some of the price plans by doing this first, how ever it says displaying 21 of 35 but you can't make it display to rest! And to be honest im not really impressed with what i am seeing, i would like the Samsung Galaxy S2 white and to get it i would have to change to a contract which to get the same amounts of mins, text, internet would cost me £11 MORE per month. I thought upgrades were meant to improve things!

As a loyal customer for a number of years i think that is shocking, im aware it is a new handset but so was the HTC desire when i upgraded last time.

I can't figure out if it is a option to only upgrade the phone as this isn't stated anywhere.

To be honest with all these problems plus the other problems i have experienced i am really quite disillusioned with Vodafone and I'm thinking of just getting my Desire repaired under warranty then just waiting until my contract is up and looking else where.

Any advice gratefully received! :-)

Hi david-s,

An email is on its way to you too.

Re: Early Upgrade

[ Edited ]

I've been trying to perform an early upgrade too, but I'm yet to hear back from anyone and I can't track the progress of the ticket as the Vodafone site keeps throwing an "Unfortunately, your request cannot be processed." error whenever I go to any "Email Us" page.

I'm a business customer and trying to upgrade to the Galaxy S 2. I'm trying to rush a bit as I'm due to head over to the US within a week or so, and I'll be there until January, so unless I can get my new handset within that timeframe I'll have to switch network - my contract expires in December.

O2 have offered me the Galaxy S2 at £27/mo. I'm on a £30/mo with Voda and ideally I'd like to see you match that, although £30 a month is still pretty reasonable if the handset stays free as its slightly more convenient to stay. If theres a charge for the handset or for my early upgrade, however, I can't really accept it and I'll start cancellation.

Re: Early Upgrade

Damien,

If you do decide to cancel, do remember to factor the cancellation charges into your calculations.   :smileywink:

Re: Early Upgrade

A slightly odd query about an early upgrade that I thought had been answered but now I'm not so sure.

I have two phones on my account: one for me and one is for my daughter. It transpires that I'm now eligible for an early upgrade, however I'm not that fussed (although I do drool slightly when I see the Galaxy SII and I'll probably get one next year) about the upgrade. My daughter, on the other hand, would like the new Blackberry 9900.

I foolishly offered to upgrade the phone as long as she paid the extra £55, but then it occurred to both of us that whilst I could give her the phone the price plan would be on my phone number. I don't need 900 minutes and BBM. I contacted Vodafone and it was suggested that I use my upgrade to swap to a cheap SIM only price plan. I then take on my daughter's price plan and then get a new phone and plan (36 quid pm and a new Blackberry 9900 so effectively 3 price plans on my account) for her. The downside would be that I would have to take her number and she would have to have a new number (we both have quite memorable numbers so we're reluctant).

As mad as this sounds I think that I wouldn't be a lot worse off - my daughter, despite my protestations, regularly goes over her price plan (I sulked a lot when she went £150 over one of them) so to put her on a new plan with more minutes might actually save some money. Does this sound bonkers?

Of course I could just tell her to wait until February when her she is eligible for an early upgrade.

Finally, I've looked on the upgrade page (I'm very loyal to Vodafone but the website is infuriating) and I can't select SIM only. Every time I select the filter I get the message that there are no plans to show. Is this because I'm not eligible or is it one of the "idiosyncrasys" of the Vodafone website?

Re: Early Upgrade

You guys seem to be working some magic on here so hopefully you can help me out!  I'm due for early upgrade next month but am under pressure from work to move onto an iPhone - the work server doesn't support Blackberry just iPhone.  I need to do this urgently as I can't put it off anymore.  I've been offered various deals from third party companies but would prefer to stay with you and go direct - realise that my price plan will increase but happy to committ for another 18 months as you guys have been great.  Can you help or will I have to go elsewhere?

Re: Early Upgrade

Hi DamienKing,

I'd love to get this sorted out for you before you head off to the USA!

I've sent you an email, send it back and we'll give you a call for a chat about your options :smileyhappy:

@ Duncx, are you selecting phone only upgrade? this may be why you're getting the error, but I've sent you an email too - we'll get you sorted out

@ DickG, I've emailed you too - we can help you keep your own number and upgrade your daughter's line a little earlier if you want - if you're drooling over the Galaxy S II then why not get one for yourself too? :smileywink:

@ tcmonckton, your email is also winging it's way over - once we have your details I'm sure we can help you upgrade to an iPhone :smileyhappy:

: Early Upgrade

Hello there

I have been a vodafone customer for about 5 years now and very happy with the deals they have given me. I was interested in upgrading via the 190 days early option to a white iPhone 4s 16 GB. I would want the same sort of price I'm paying now and after having a look on your website there is a deal for new customers taking out an 18 month contract at £46 per month. However when I asked im store I was told that I would have to pay an early upgrade fee in order to get this deal. As a long standing vodafone customer willing to extend my contract for a further 24 months is it possible to avoid this charge? If you could get back to me it would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Re: Early Upgrade

My contract is due for an upgrade on 19th November but reading these posts suggests that an earlier upgrade is possible.  Could a moderator contact me to explain how I could upgrade today?

I've got a mobile broadband contract as well so I consider myself a good customer for Vodafone and would appreciate an early upgrade. :smileyhappy:

Thanks,
Jonathan

Re: Early Upgrade

Thanks very much to the team who have sorted me out more or less the exact upgrade I was hoping for, much better than the website offered. You have made me and more importantly my wife very happy. :smileyvery-happy:

Re: Early Upgrade

Sadly still no joy with my upgrade issue, as I am a business customer I have to be referred to another team and so far no one has called me about my queries.  It is making me wish that I wasn't a business customer as everyone else seems to get sorted out much more quickly, any suggestions or is there a number I can call about my issue where I might be able to speak to someone helpful???

Re: Early Upgrade

I couldnt pluck up the courage to ring vodafone for the 10000th time this month so im using this forum for the first time.

I have had constant problems with my blackberry bold 9000 including 2 handset changes as vodafone were unable to resolve a no signal fault i had a few months back. Last week vodafone then changed my number for me due to nuisance phone calls, only to find they then blocked all my blackberry services. After 8hours of phonecalls over 2days(me ringing from another phone so i could perform the same handset checks over and over again..resulting in a big phonebill on my sisters phone), 2 promised callbacks from managers which never happened and a number of lies told by numerous agents i spoke to all making up different excuses as to why they had messed up my phone, i was finally sent a new sim card only to find this wasnt the issue atal and it was, as i had always thought, something they had done their end.  now the fact blackberry servises were down the last 3days and no compensation is being offered...i am extremely fed up and frustrated.

my bills are always wayyy over my tariff and i have been offered an amazing deal from o2 to stop this but am unable to pay for 2 contracts at the same time. I desperately meed a new phone and it appears the only way i am going to be able to do this is to stay with vodafone :smileyindifferent:

I have tried looking through the upgrade early options and keep getting an error.

PLEASE surprise me and provide some good customer service vodafone!!

Re: Early Upgrade

Hi

I  am having problems trying to upgrade online ! I did spend a whole day a couple of months ago and after slowly losing the will to live  and the fact that someone opened a new account and issued a new number when I've been a customer fo about 15 years , I gave up !!

I have again tonight tried online and get as far as being told I can upgrade online from 06/11  but can get no further !

please help as I have been  a loyal customer and my current phone is coming to the end of its shelf life and no longer holds its charge.

I don't want to cancel but O2 and orange have some fantastic deals for new customers and they are looking more enticing by the day .

Thanks in anticipation

Re: Early Upgrade

Hi jnorthall, thanks for posting! I’d love to help with your upgrade, however you haven’t yet verified your email address on your profile details so I’m unable to send you an email. Let me know once you have done this so we can get in touch.

Duncx, That’s great to hear! I’m glad that you are both happy! :smileyvery-happy:

Louisebeams, I’m disappointed to see that you have not yet received your call back. Your details have been passed along to the Business Team, however you are able to dial 191 to get through to your Business Care team.

Vikyb, and mentalmicky, I can understand how frustrating this is for you both. I’ve sent you both an email to your registered address, if you could pop me a reply back with the details needed then one of our team can get back to you.

Dickg, thanks that’s lovely to know, I will pass that on to Paul. :smileyhappy:

Let me take this opportunity to show you how Vodafone like to say thank you; take a look at VIP.

Cheers

Amanda
