Re: Early Upgrade

Hello!

I am trying to find out how much an early upgrade will cost me i currently have 3 monthly contracts with vodafone and 2 of them i have already upgraded but i didnt have a fee for them ( contracts were nearly finished). My 3rd phone is on a £31 month contract i want to upgrade to a Samsung Galaxy sII on a £36 month contract but i dont know how much the upgrade fee will be my early upgrade date will be on Nov 6th!

I would appreciate if anyone could let me know a rough estimate of the cost?

Re: Early Upgrade

Hi

This is my first visit to the forum and was wondering if someone can help me.

I can apparently take out an early upgrade on the 2nd November but as my htc desire is starting to play up was wondering if it would be possible to do it earlier and if so what would it cost to upgrade to an iphone 4S?

Many thanks.

Re: Early Upgrade

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I had my blackberry curve stolen last night and rather than just ordering a new blackberry curve handset I was wondering if it would be possible for me to upgrade early? I rang the helpline and after being on hold for 45 minutes I explained to the woman I spoke to that I was eligible for an early upgrade on the 4th of November but asked if there was any way I could upgrade earlier, rather than ordering a new curve handset then upgrading to the iphone 4 in november. She gave me a number to ring but when I ring it they just say there is an issue with the phone line and it cuts off. If someone could get back to me that would be brilliant

Thanks

Re: Early Upgrade

Hi

I've been with Vodafone for a long time now. My contract is due to finish in March 2012. I'm considering an early upgrade to the Iphone 4S, my wife 's going to have my Iphone 4. Any chance of a better deal the the upgrade page shows? I also don't really want my data plan reduced to 500mb. Thanks in advance.

I have three phones with VF two of which are due upgrade one within the 190day period the other within the no fee period, went in to local VF store to-day to upgrade the no fee phone. All seemed fine until i was told i would have to pay £41 when i told them i had checked online before and it said that said phone(samsung galaxy sII) would be free on my price plan iwas told to try phoning customer support, well after 3 failed call back attempts i decided to give forums a go. So is there any one there to help please:

Re: Early Upgrade

Hi,

If I do a early upgrade will the remainder of my term (March 2012) be added to the new contract term, and if so why isn't this clear on the website?

I have a iphone 4 and want to upgrade to a 4S, I am happy to commit to a new 18 month contract as per the early upgrade choices on the website but not if my remaining term gets bolted on!

Any help appreciated.

Re: Early Upgrade

Yep, thats how it works, you add the remaining term on, just like you do if you do the upgrade within 30 days

Re: Early Upgrade

I definately spoke too soon leaving praise on my previous post.

Seems the upgrade wasnt as simple as kay made out..just alot more broken promises and numerous pointless calls from me to VF getting absoloutely nowhere.

Re: Early Upgrade

Still waiting for the phone cal from Vodafone it seems business customers don't get dealt with as quickly as indicated!  As for ringing the 191 helpline number well they won't deal with my issue as I am not eligible for an upgrade yet and I am told that I can upgrade early if I do it online but this is easier said than done!  We have a contrack with 4 phones and I just want to upgrade one of them early to a higher spec tariff but it seems that VF arn't interested in getting my money and keeping my custom so it is likely that we will have to go elsewhere....here's hoping for a helpful response in the next 48 hours......

Re: Early Upgrade

I have had an HTC Legend on a pay monthly contract for the past 18 months on a 24 month contract. Unfortunately I have a few issues that have yet to be resolved:

  1. Despite the fact that when I log in to my account and it indicates that I can upgrade my phone, whenever I click on the link I receive a message stating that I'm not eligible for an upgrade. My son, who is also with Vodafone, has checked the account and he agrees that that I am eligible.
  2. I have rasied this as an issue using the "contact us" form but I haven't received a response yet. My son, who received such excellent customer service from Paul when he used this forum to raise an issue about an early upgrade, recommended that I use this forum to exercise my frustration!
  3. I have had woeful reception from the HTC in my house and when I'm out and about and have complained on a number of occasions to no avail. My son has a Motorola Milestone and my granddaughter a Blackberry, both on Vodafone, and their reception in my house is excellent. I would very much like to upgrade to a Blackberry.

Yours in anticipation,

Jessie

Re: Early Upgrade

Hi guys, apologies for the delay in responding to you - we're a very small team and very popular at the moment!

@ euphoric_mess, your email is on the way to you now.

@ jonnywishbone, euphoric_mess is spot on - your new contract months start at the end of your old agreement.

@ vikyb, I'm sorry to hear about the problems you've been having with your upgrade, we're just waiting for your handset to come in stock and you'll be sorted :smileywink:

@ louisebeams, We can only arrange earlier than normal upgrades for consumer customers from here - we have no way of knowing you're a business customer unitl we receive your details via email - we pass this over to our business colleagues but can't control when/if they'll call you

@ jessieg, I'm glad I could sort out an upgrade for your son and he's happy with it - I'll send you an email and get you sorted out too!

@ mightymadman, your email is on the way too - once we get your details we'll be in touch.

Finally, I'd like to thank you all for your patience - we're working through all of your emails as fast as we can and we'll be with you ASAP :smileyhappy:

Re: Early Upgrade

Paul,

Going back to Jonnywishbone's argument, I was told the other day that my contract ended in March 2012, yet I have e-mail proof that my price plan was changed on 9th January 2010. I find it a bit off that I have to spend an extra couple of months on this price plan, and as Jonny said, it wasn't very clear when I took the contract out. Surely the new price plan should have started at the end of the old agreement?

Needless to say, once the opportunity arises, I think I'll be leaving Vodafone.

Hi Kay

I don't seem to have received my email from Monday yet.  Would it be possible to send it as I'd really appreciate sorting out the upgrade.

Many thanks.
