Re: Early upgrade

Ive just been offered a early upgrade!

Ive had some problems with my reception but vodafone kindly did give me a new phone, things have picked up better signal!not amazing!just think it down to model,so want to try a new phone!

Im confused to how much they want to charge me it says a one of fee then a charge for the handset?

does anybody know how much better the contract offers will be if i hold out until june/july?at the moment they seem a little pricey!

especailly when i compare to a relatives contract,he gets the iphone 4 for less than £20 a month just because hes a loyal customer!

Re: Early upgrade

Never upgrade through Voda unless you want a handest crippled by there branding and bloatware, and poor deals

wait a few months then shop around and see if you can get a better deal from another operator or indipendant distributor (CPW, or one of the mobile sites)

or if you want an iPhone, wait a few months for the iPhone5 in June/July time then threaten to leave and see what they offer (tho Iphone prices tend to be locked by apple)

Note I do not work for voda, My advice comes from experience and my opinions are my own

Re: Early upgrade

Hi,

My iPhone 3G was stolen at the weekend.  I have reported it stolen and got the phone barred, and was very thankful to be told on the phone that I could upgrade early online from now, as I had thought I'd have to wait until June when my normal upgrade date is.

My only problem is I have been trying to use the upgrade online tool for 2 days and it just won't work!  It comes up with an error message saying "Sorry for the delay, we are currently experiencing high demand for this service, please try again later".  Just wondering when this will be fixed as I really want to get my phone situation sorted out!  I tried calling customer services but all they could advise was to wait and keep trying.

Hey,

Thanks for replying so quickly!  I've just checked my email (and my junk folder) and I don't have an email so you might need to resend it.

Cheers, Jess

"Hi deviant,

The upgrade period remains 70 days via all channels. Can you advise where you're seeing 50 days for me?

I'm popping you an email too, though, so we can look into deals for you - just reply back!

When i go to upgrade my phone through "my account" it says upgrade available 50 days before end of contract, is this not correct?

Re: Early upgrade

Can somebody email me RE: an upgrade please. The options available to me online are not that great. I could cancel my contract and sign up to a better deal as a new customer which I find really odd!!

Thanks in advance.

Re: Early upgrade

I too would like to take advantage of the online 190 day upgrade offer. But..

What happens to the remaining cost of the old contract if you change price plans? Do you have to buy out of the remaining months? Does it get added to the monthly cost of the new contract?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Early upgrade

Just wanted to say I upgraded early yesterday to a iphone 4 on a 18 month contract which was exactly the same deal I would have got as a new customer,no extra cost for the phone other than the £89 anyone would have paid on the price plan I selected.Very happy with the service and the deal I recieved and I was not even within 190 days of my contract ending well done Vodafone.
