Having trouble dialling home from outside the UK

I'm having connection problems when I try to dial a British number from Italy. The signal is full and I've never had issues before. I am definately using the correct dialing codes ,as I am dialling the numbers saved to my phone which I have used before, but every time I try it fails and I recieve a text from Vodafone UK or I get a voice message from Vodafone IT telling me to check the number. Any ideas?

Hi there. The numbers should be saved as 00447..... or +447....... if they are and you still can't get through there is either a problem with the network you're connecting to or international calls are being blocked

All numbers are 0044....They shouldn't be blocked as I have been using them freely, I have to assume that it's a problem with the local network....also Vodafone.

Does the same thing happen if you dial the numbers manually using either 0044 or +44? 

 

Don't forget to leave out the leading zero

Exactly the same problem no matter what combination of numbers I dial

Thanks for your post. Are you aware of anyone else who is on your trip with you experiencing the same difficulties? Are you having difficulty using your phone for any other services such as incoming calls, texts, or data? It could be a local network error or something related to roaming on your account. Have you upgraded or changed your price plan since the last time you went abroad, just so we can rule out any changes at network level with us?
