Leaving Vodafone -- do I need to cancel after my number has been ported away from VF?

Hi,
I've been on a 30-day contract with Vodafone and decided to switch to another mobile provider. I've already ported my number to the new provider. My questions are:
1. Do I need to cancel my vodafone service now, or was it enough that my number was ported?
2. I was just charged via direct debit. Is it safe now to cancel direct debit? I switched over to the new provider on March 9. I can no longer log in to my online account to check my bills.
Thanks for your advice!

If you have ported your number over to a new provider, you will no longer have a number or account with Vodafone.
If your number has been ported giving 30 days notice and your final bill has been paid, you will be able to cancel your direct debit.
If you have any further enquiries or would like a paper copy of your final bill, Customer Services will be able to help.
