Mms Part Of Bundle. Bring It Back!.. (or A Bundle)

i agree on here

i have just signed up to a 30 day sim only and i was originally on voda for 5 year then got a better deal with O2 for more inclusive sms. Been with O2 for around 2 month, serivce exccelltn except i saw voda had a better sim only offer than o2 for £15 a month

O2 = £15 for 200 mins & 400 texts
voda = £15 for 150 mins & 1000 texts

on o2 they just took a few of my free sms off my allowance, which voda should definatly do. If O2 do it then voda should be trying to keep up with the market, yes i understand it may put strain on the company but if other networks are willing to do so i think voda should step up to the mark and be true to their loyal customers

*Vodafone USED to use the 1 MMS = 3 text cost, but it "confused" people!
**Vodafone used to LEAD the market in this
***The only "strain" being the smaller margins achieved with MMS handling, compared to the HUGE margins made on SMS handling
****Loyalty to customers doesn't enter into the equation. Vodafone is a business, to make money. MORE money, and NOT smaller margins.

<_<

The mods on here say they feedback to the "suits", and through "Voice of the customer", but it would appear they don't listen

Cheers

Mms Part Of Bundle. Bring It Back!.. (or A Bundle)

Hi there Guys and thanks for your posts,

I totally agree with the principal ideas towards the three SMS to one MMS ratio, as I do tend to send a lot of pictures, especially at the weekend when I am out and at the football. :P

I can assure you that it has been fed back plenty of times in the recent past, not just by customers but also by ourselves as employees.

I would love to see this re-introduced, all we can do at the minute is cross our fingers and wait.

Sorry I could not be of more help, but If anything changes, I will be sure to let you eForum members know. ;)

Many thanks

Andy

Nice, positive, feedback Andrew.

Keep on "banging away" at 'em, until they actually take note of what their customers (and employees) would like to enjoy AGAIN (since they removed this, with a "plan to bring something back in the future").

Cheers Andy

Mine too. Quite happy to sacrifice 4SMS for 1MMS, if necessary.

Mms Part Of Bundle. Bring It Back!.. (or A Bundle)

I used to have 2 contracts on Voda 2 years ago and terminated mine due to the way they started to charge for MMS etc. I moved to SIM only on O2 and haven't looked back since. For £20 I get 600 mins x network and 1000 text messages. 1MMS is 4 texts from package and 3G calling (Video calling) comes out of inclusive minutes bundle as well, I also get "Unlimited internet". So basically I can use my full feature phone as nature intended and not be stung by the costs afterwards ;)

So as far as I can see, there is no reason Voda can't do it apart from the MAJOR revenue they'd lose from not charging for MMS, O2 must shove more data round their network due to the Apple fanbois and I've NEVER had a problem with internet access on my phone (N95). Before I cancelled I escalated my complaint to 3 tiers of Vodafone management before I finally cancelled and they all said their billing system had been changed so even if they wanted to do the 3 texts for 1 MMS they couldn't. Well they've had over 2 years and I'm amazed their billing team haven't been able to reporgram this back in.

If anyone is wondering why I'm even bothering doing this on the forum my wife is still on Voda and I was contacted by Voda to come back as I'd been an excellent customer in the past etc and offered me an amazing deal for a new C905 for 18 months so I've continued to keep her on with Voda. I just do the 3G calling to her and send her MMS's! We were going to move her to O2 SIM only for £15/month but she wanted a new latest phone and Voda (Hat's off to them) came up with an amazing deal so she's stayed.

Anyway that's my 2 pence worth ;)

Mms Part Of Bundle. Bring It Back!.. (or A Bundle)

Been looking through the forums for a while. Finally found a reason to register.
I'm all up for MMS = 3 sms (As long as there is any exchange for x amount of sms, I honestly wouldn't mind).
I own a c902, so sadly my SMS messages get changed to MMS messages after 4 people get added to it, so this could come in mighty useful

Mms Part Of Bundle. Bring It Back!.. (or A Bundle)

I agree, I would also like to see MMS being re-included into the text packs. I was very disappointed to see the change two years ago as it meant that the data tariff was removed from the text pack and also that I could no longer send MMS without being charged extra. I've hardly sent any MMS since then as I try not to use non-inclusive services much to maintain peace of mind. It's worth pointing out that simply deducting the size of MMS from the data allowance will not add up as you also need to account for the receiving side. I understand why the official response is taking a while to reach us. Introducing a new product (even if it's based on something they used to have) involves research, development, marketing, training staff, aftercare, trial periods, financial planning, etc. and it's not just as simple as writing a computer programme as some have suggested.

I would also like to see Video Call bundles coming back as well. I think the way it stands, 35/50ppm on/cross net is a rip-off despite obvious data costs, etc. If 3 can include video minutes in their call plans, surely vodafone can do it better!

Mms Part Of Bundle. Bring It Back!.. (or A Bundle)

Hi TamTmaN

MMS bundles are something which we have suggested since the removal of MMS from data packs, some time ago now.

I have raised this suggestion for MMS bundles ( in line with other networks) with our suggestion channel called 'Voice of the Customer' and I will do this again this morning for you.

MMS and video calling remain additional chargable services at the moment, they were removed from price plans initially due to research from a customer base who wanted a clearer understanding of what an extras pack includes, which is now why we have seperate internet bundles and text bundles.

We listen to customer feedback and changes and improvements are made to services all the time and it does take time to develop and implement.

We wont please everyone all the time, but we do try to!

Claire

I agree....I'm currently with O2 (where 4 text messages equals 1 MMS).....It's the only thing from stopping me switching to Vodafone at the moment !!!!

Mms Part Of Bundle. Bring It Back!.. (or A Bundle)

Hi all,

I would probably vote for an mms bundle option. (at a sensible cost)

At present I only have 100 inclusive sms, which is enough for my usage, so using sms for mms would most likely take me over my allowance.

However when it is looked at, anyone in a similar situation, would go for the bundle rather than have to upgrade their tariff (again depending on price) either way this would be additional revenue for Voda.

Or!!! am i wrong?

Come on Voda, BIG ad. campaign - It's good to pict.

Lots of us buying bundles and new customers. How can it not be a winner.

Jimius.

Mms Part Of Bundle. Bring It Back!.. (or A Bundle)

Good morning Guys and Gals, thanks for all your posts.

This is becoming more and more of a frequent part on our forum, so it does seem to be a popular feedback topic.

This is something that has been fed back to our Voice Of The Customer (VOTC) department on numerous occasions, and I can fully agree with you, this service would be beneficial to many of our customers and staff.

If we hear something from them or if anything changes regarding the MMS bundles or SMS for MMS option, then I promise you, it will be on here as I will be a very happy boy! :P

Thanks again for further feedback and hope you all have a great and successful 2009! :D

Cheers

Andy

Mms Part Of Bundle. Bring It Back!.. (or A Bundle)

I would have thought that mms bundles would not be beneficial for customers (ie having to spend a set cost each month and possibly not using all mms) instead of 1 mms=3 sms as customers can then send as many or few as they wish without extra cost

I'm not with Voda but am an o2 customer - one of the lucky payg customers who can still use sms for mms (o2 withdrew free mms from the text anytime package last year in favour of cheaper xnet calls)

I found that I can also use mms abroad and they are taken from my inclusive messaging units (I don't think is meant to happen)

o2 also offer happy hour (60 free sms and mms between 7-8pm daily)

so I can send hundreds of mms a month

sorry if this is sounding like an advert for o2, I was with Voda for stop the clock but seemed to be spending too much credit on things like mms!
