This is my 1st contract phone, I have emailed customer support, as I tried to ring but got machines, only asking for reason's as I hope customer support will sort it.
I got my phone On The 25/1/2011 and my 1st bill On The 28/1/2011, which ha taken £26.24, form my bank by direct debit, is this normal??
On my bill I have 3 different dates, one at The top bill date 28/1/2011, two middle under my mins and texts 24th Jan to 24th of Feb., thirdly at The bottom under total by direct debit or after 4 february 2011, is this normal??
With my phone contract I ordered The extra service of unlimited calls to other vodafone numbers at £5 extra a month but I get 1000 calls to UK land lines, I went in store to sort it I was told it would sorted by 00:00 4/2/2011 but it hasn't, I have proof in emails of what I ordered so why has this happened??
The price I would pay a month was meant to be £25.42 but it is £26.24, why is this different, it can't be vat unless The prices On The website are wrong as I ordered after The vat change, I know its not a lot of difference but I still expect to get what I ordered.
Any help would be appreciated

Line rental is collected a month in advance.
Your billing cycle is 25th to 24th of the month.
The Initial charge for 24Jan to 24Feb is 1 month and 82p for one day.
Bill is normally dated 3-4 day after the billing cycle.
DD collection might have changed, as mentioned by a moderator in another thread, to 7 days hence 4th Feb
The only issue you might want to take them up on is being charged 82p for 24thJan when phone was delivered on 25th.
Vodafone till now used to bill calender month rather then contract start month. Anyone upgrading or starting a new contract are going to be on contract billing cycle.

Is line rental put on to the bill??
That's Why I'm asking as there Is no note of line rental on the bill just bit about my mins and text and any extra I asked for, that Why I'm all confused, if its line rental then I can understand, but if so Why not say that its line rental instead of having it look like a normal bill??
Is line rental really £26. Why not let the customers know that when getting the contract.

The £26.24 is your line rental. This is only for this month as it is 1 day and 1 month.
The Line rental is under the header of service charges.
The call charges will be under Usage Charges.

Just remember you pay one month in advance, yet strangely you'll never see this month in advance ever again unless you spend days on phone calls and letters.
