PAC Code Request!

Hi

I've phoned and spoken to VF and asked for a PAC code.  I want to transfer my number away from VF, but was told I can't have it until I pay up my contract.

I'm happy to pay up my contract, but not until the number is transferred out.  I'm sure I'm entitled to it from things I've read on here and all over the internet.

Please can anyone help?

Thanks

Jen

Re: PAC Code Request!

Hello jb82

If you want to terminate early and get a PAC code, you pay up your contract and you are then given the code.

What exactly have you read on the forum all over the internet to make you want to pay your early termination fees ?  Perhaps you could give us some examples, at least then, the Tech Team will be able to help you with any problems and know the reason you want to leave.

If you have looked through the forum, you will have seen many threads where the Tech Team  have solved customers enquiries.

Re: PAC Code Request!

That's not what I meant.  What I meant is that I know (via Ofcom) that I'm entitled to the PAC code before the contract is paid up depite what VF are telling me.

I'm not going into a big thing about why I'm leaving and moaning about various things, just want the PAC code.

Thanks

Re: PAC Code Request!

You are correct,

you are free to ask for a PAC at any time,

only when you use it (within 30 days of issue) will voda issue a final bill

Note I do not work for voda, My advice comes from experience and my opinions are my own

Re: PAC Code Request!

For Ann and others that may be interested, just to clarify see this link  :-    http://ask.ofcom.org.uk/help/telephone/refuse_PAC

You can see from this that Ofcom are adamant that "your provider"  CANNOT refuse to issue a PAC code if there are charges outstanding.  Once again, CS are just plain wrong.   Poor training, or orders from above ??    Feel free to make your own minds up  !
