Really disappointed with vodafone

I've started having problems with my power button on my htc desire hd,i'm allowed to upgrade in july anyway so i phoned customer services yesterday evening and asked could i upgrade and have my contract extended the answer was no,i'd have to pay my current contract off and start a new 1 so i was happy to do that at a slightly reduced rate if i stayed with vodafone so was asked if i'd been looking at handsets which i replied yes i was interested in the htc one x which is due next week but could they match any offer which phones 4 u were offering which was a free htc media link hd and to match my current contract of 600mins unlimited texts and 500mb mobile date which i'm paying £36.00 they said vodafone don't do accessories so that was out out the question then they told me the one x is £41.00 p/mth for 900 mins,i don't want 900mins and vodafone want £99.00 up front for the 600min package which is free on phones 4 u inc the free htc media link!

Doesnt sound like a good deal to me to stay with vodafone anymore,i have been a long and loyal customer to vodafone, you would think they could sort something out wouldn't you? seems existing customers are not catered for anymore.

Re: Really disappointed with vodafone

I can understand what you mean.

To be honest at the moment some other parties will offer slightly better deals from time to time,  its the joys of being an independent retailer, though I do think sometimes there is potential for Vodafone to match and drive the situation.

To be honest I know some people who have had a great service from Phones 4U, I also know some people who have ended up with issues, but I am sure thats no different to any other retailer

Re: Really disappointed with vodafone

It seems mobile phone company's are becoming like car insurance, never stay with the same operator when it's time to renew as you  can get a much better deal elsewhere.I mean at this moment in time i'd rather pay my contact off which ends early september, sell my DHD now and the free deal from phones 4 u if vodafone are not willing to help me at all? are there any vodafone techs on here to assist? as i would like a figure to end my contract.
