Response to Vodafone's Offer

Thank you for your e-mail.

After careful consideration of the offer you have made to me I have decided that I don't wish to take up any of the offers you have made.
I still feel annoyed at the way I have been treated as a long standing customer by Vodafone.  The offers you have made to me in your e-mail are not as good as any offer I could get from another network.
I could get any of the phones that you offered me for free with more inclusive minutes and texts as well as more internet use for less money per month.
I will feel sorry to leave Vodafone as I have been a loyal customer for many many years and I have had the same number all of this time, but everytime I have upgraded at the end of my contract I have never had a good deal.  When I upgraded to my current phone I was told a pack of lies regarding the features and not told of the extension to my contract.
I was also never informed that my internet useage was cut back from unlimited to 500mb.
I would now like to know what the procedure is for terminating my contract with you.  What notice am I required to give you?  Also if I was to terminate my contract now am I correct in saying that I would still have to pay the March, April and May payment to you minus the VAT.
This would probably be cheaper for me to do this and get a free phone from another network and pay less a month than continue to pay you.
Please advise me as to what the procedure is for this.

Re: Response to Vodafone's Offer

I think it is a 30 day notice period you must give - and yes, you're correct in thinking that if you buy yourself out of the remaining commitment period you won't have to pay the VAT charges.

My advice? Go find and a deal with a competitor that is ideal for you - but before you disconnect with Vodafone, tell them about the deal and see if they can better it - you might be surprised.

Re: Response to Vodafone's Offer

I am extremely dissapointed that no-one has acknowledged my e-mail that I sent yesterday.
I did ask a couple of specific questions in the e-mail which as a long standing customer I would have expected to have had a resonse to before now.
This is typical of the service I have recieved from Vodafone.
Your delay in answering my e-mail is delaying me making my decision and taking up the offer I have had from another network.
Please respond to my questions by return

Re: Response to Vodafone's Offer

Still no one has had the decency to contact me.

The customer service from vodafone is nothing short of disgusting.

This forum does not achieve anything and has just been set up to satisfy someone at vodafones objective to improve customer service.

Most companies advise a 48 - 72 hour response to customer enquires via email.

The idea that you would be prioritised is daft - Vodafone have to offer the same level of service for all customer and at a consistent level. Think how many people must email them every day.

If you do move provider, I think you will find it is the same (or worse) wherever you go.

Hi gwilson40

I am sorry about the delay that you have had in getting a reply. I do know that the team that has been looking at your upgrade are very popular at the moment.

I have just pulled these emails from the queue, and have replied back to you with the information that you have requested.

Re: Response to Vodafone's Offer

Although I love this forum as it does offer a range of solutions to almost everyones problems.  The fact that if someone comes on here ranting and raving about something that easily fixable through time and patience, get priority.

Im all for fixing solutions as I also try and share my knowledge and experience through Voda with the forum but if I had a problem there would be no way I would come on here and burst a blood vessle in my eye over something that I know WILL be fixed in due time.

Mods dont just sit and scratch their backsides here y'know.

Done!
