I'm due for an upgrade soon and i was wondering when is  the expected date for the Samsung Galaxy S 2?

Is it days, weeks or months?

I think originally it was meant to be out in March but its now been pushed back until May.

May 6th seems to be a date a few websites are quoting as its release date, I am due an upgrade too but decided to hang on until the S 2 came out, beginning to get bored of waiting now, lol

We are unable to see anything before it is announced there.

When it arrives, will it be a locked handset? ie, will there be a vodafone logo printed on it, will it have vodafone bloatware and will we have to wait for vodafone to approve updates? One of my favourite things about this phone is that its loks are s simple, and its bootloader is unlocked.

The phone should be unlocked as Vodafone dont lock handsets any more.

I can confirm that the handset  will be branded.

I rang Vodafone this evening and got told this was due to be out on 16th May.

Got mine already on vodafone working a treat (actually was payg from 02 for around £380 unlocked)
