I ordered my SIM only deal online on Thursday. Tracking says it should be delivered tomorrow. However as I won't be at home most of the day it will probably be Tuesday before I can collect it from the depot.

I provided my PAC at time of ordering. When would this normally be dealt with - will it be started by now or will it only start after SIM has been received?

The number transfer can take up to five working days but is usually quicker.

Customer Services will be able to give your a porting date and you will receive a confirmation text to let you know when your number will be going live.

In the meantime, carry on using your old SIM in your old phone, as soon as it becomes inactive, your number will be on the VF network.

I have not ordered a new phone - it's a SIM only deal. I also have not received the new SIM yet.

There are some who purchase their own new phone and just get a SIM only deal.

As soon as you have the SIM, you will need to contact Customer Care for the internet settings.  The mailbox number for your texts will be +447785016005.

In addition to Ann's replies, customer services can be contacted on 08700 700 191 option 2. or by calling 191 from your Vodafone sim. To be slightly more specific, porting is usually up to 48 hours from the port request, and usually happens between 11am and 4pm.

Just to update on this.

Yesterday, 10th January, I received a text from Vodafone on my O2 number to say that porting would take place on the 11th by 4pm. By 9am my number had been ported over from O2.

All that was required was to connect my iPhone to iTunes and everything was working.
