Unable to render /framework/skeletons/vodafoneDefault/head.jsp

[ Edited ]

Seems a common problem but my account was locked and one of the Vodafone team texted me a temporary password. Then tried to log-in and get error:

Unable to render /framework/skeletons/vodafoneDefault/head.jsp

I have cleared cookies, cache, history etc and tried accessing account using Chrome, IE9 and Firefox. Even tried using someone elses PC.

Tech team last week told me there was a problem with the website and they didn't know when it will be resolved!

First had this issue over two weeks ago.

Help much appreciated.

Chris

Re: Unable to render /framework/skeletons/vodafoneDefault/head.jsp

This fault refers to to an error with the website. Basically the site isn't loading its layout or CSS sheet as there are broken links and HTML etc.

This isn't an error with your account - just the Vodafone site that is dragging on a bit now I must admit.

Thanks,

Adam

Hi uklburc,

Welcome to the forum! :smileyhappy:

I appreciate that it’s been over 24 hours since you posted so can you let me know if you’re still having the same problem as this should be resolved now?

If this is ongoing, then please get back to us and let us know if there is any pattern or certain times of day that you’ve tried this and if you get any other error messages.

Cheers,

Jenny

Re: Unable to render /framework/skeletons/vodafoneDefault/head.jsp

Hi,

Just replied and it is still a problem.

The exact message is:

Unable to render /framework/skeletons/vodafoneDefault/head.jsp Unable to render /framework/skeletons/vodafoneDefault/body.jsp

It consistently fails and I haven't been able to log into my account for over 2 weeks now.

I try morning, lunchtime and evening every day from my work laptop and my home PC (even my wife's laptop).

Chris

Re: Unable to render /framework/skeletons/vodafoneDefault/head.jsp

Hey guys,

Thanks for your posts.

I've sent you both a PM which can be accessed here. If you could follow the instructions in the PM and send us your details one of the team will be with you as soon as they can.

Just to touch on your point about the temporary password only being valid for one hour, nicnac: imagine we sent you a non expiring password and your handset was stolen before you got the chance to access the internet and your details were compromised. Would you like it if someone had access to all your details online and were able to steal your identity?

It's that way for security; not to make life difficult!

Cheers,

LeeH

The quickest way to deal with this issue is to clear cookies although this does clear stored passwords for other sites which is very annoying.

Re: Unable to render /framework/skeletons/vodafoneDefault/head.jsp

Same problem here, not helped by Customer Service telling me it's my browser that's at fault and I should clear cookies & cache.

Three PCs and two web browsers later, this hasn't resolved the problem.

Surley this must be a problem for every VF customer.

Looking to upgrade handset, but unless I can login in next 24hrs, I'll be going to O2.

PLEASE HELP!

Re: Unable to render /framework/skeletons/vodafoneDefault/head.jsp

I have had exactly the same problem today and continue toget the same response. The web relations team said they knew of no problems and had logged in themselves ok.....  It really is a dodgy website and a real pain as the only way to check my bill!

Re: Unable to render /framework/skeletons/vodafoneDefault/head.jsp

Thanks OnBlueHorses for confirming what I've suspected.

It's annoying enough that their Web site is poorly maintained, but for Customer Services to infer that it 'must be' my PC/browser to be at fault and that 'no other customers are experiencing these issues' really annoys me.

Notwithstanding the fact that we cannot login to see our bills, think of the lost revenue VF must be experiencing on thing like customers wanting to upgrade. Good job the busy time of Christmas isn't looming.... Oh! It is!! :smileysurprised:

Re: Unable to render /framework/skeletons/vodafoneDefault/head.jsp

I have had the same problem with my online account now for two weeks which is preventing access to BTopenzone wifi access. It doesn't matter which browser I use as the problem has to be on the Vodafone backend. Vodafone support had told me it will take 10 business days to correct my problem, fingers crossed.

Re: Unable to render /framework/skeletons/vodafoneDefault/head.jsp

Hi guys,

We have seen a few customers reporting similar issues, but not everyone is affected by this - many customers, including ourselves when we test the system, are able to access the service without issue.

In many cases, the clearing of cache and cookies or trying an alternate browser has cleared things, which is why this is being suggested as the first step in sorting things. If we carried on without checking this, we could find no issues on the registration itself and miss a quick resolution for you. It's better to cover the basics first and then proceed from there.

I'll pop you each a PM so we can take a closer look for you.

You can find your PM inbox here. If you can't access this link, please ensure that the box next to "Turn on private messages" is ticked on this page, and let us know if you need any further assistance.

Dave

Account was locked, got unlocked now web error

Hi,

My account was locked so I rang customer services and got a new password texted to my phone.

Put that in and all I get is;

Unable to render /framework/skeletons/vodafoneDefault/head.jsp
Unable to render /framework/skeletons/vodafoneDefault/body.jsp

I have tried all the tips and tricks such as clearing cache, using mozilla and chrome and even surfing on my iphone. No dice. Please help!!!!!

The faults are getting boring now...

It's just that it seems I'm not alone in having had  just a single red light (on two separate Sure Signal boxes) for a number of days now, and I am also unable to log into MyVodafone on the website since last week:

Unable to render /framework/skeletons/vodafoneDefault/head.jsp Unable to render /framework/skeletons/vodafoneDefault/body.jsp

I don't know what is wrong with either problem, but it would be nice if someone could explain and, erm, fix them!

Many thanks
