Think what most people dont realise is that when u upgrade "early", whatever is left is added to your new commitment - so anyone upgrading under the recent "6 month early" policy for say an iPhone 4s on a 24 month agreement was still signing for a 30 month agreement...thats takes them to maybe 20 months after the iPhone 5 hits the shelves... ![]()

Hi,
When I took out my 24 month contract i was told I would be able to upgrade within the last 6 months - this was one of the reasons I chose Vodafone.
I am nearly due for an early upgrade, but the upgrade option on the website is now saying I must wait until May '12.
I have an iPhone 3GS which is on it's last legs and I was relying on the early upgrade to get a new handset.
I am really dissapointed in this change in policy, as I have been a vodafone customer for more than 10 years and have more than one contract with you.
If I have to wait until the last 30 days I may aswell see out my contract and shop around when it is up.
Is there any thing you can do to help.
Best Regards
Matt.

Would love to be able to talk to someone about this early upgrade thing, but after years of being with vodafone, I have now finally realised, it's time to move as when you want to speak to someone they ain't there! ![]()

Good Afternoon Everyone,
As previously mentioned on the first page of this thread, we provided a link to information on the early upgrade option: http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/About-the-Community
I'm afraid there is nothing further we can add to this.
Best Wishes,
Kay

If you did not have a previous, unfinished contract with Vodafone when you took the current one out then your earliest upgrade date will be some time in August 2012 ( 90 days before your contract ends. ) But if you DID have a previous contract with time left to run, your current contract will have been tacked on to the end of that - in that case, your guess is as good as mine.

Now looking at a shorter contract with O2 and shall let this one run down and cancel.

On 18th Jan at 11:49 I received a text message from Vodafone giving 3 update dates On-line 16 Feb, in store 30 May, via TSAR (whatever that means) 19 June. The following day that "offer" has been withdrawn. Not what you expect from a major mobile network. What is particularly irritating is the announcement appeared on eforum LESS THAN 24 HOURS LATER. Not very professional and suggests a total lack of internal communication. Very disappointing.

I received an email from Vodafone informing me that DaveCD had responded to my comment above regarding upgrade dates sent to me by SMS the day before the "plug was pulled". That was sent at 15:40pm. I have attempted to read the reply several times and this is what I keep getting. It is now 17:48 pm.
Sorry, your request failed. A notification has been sent to the development team for investigation.

Hi wackychris2002,
I believe that biffo1963 could be spot on here however, we won’t know until we take a look at your account.
If you are looking to query your contract end and upgrade dates please take a look at the PM that I have sent you which hold instructions on how to get in touch with our team directly.
Once we have this we will be able to speak with you directly regarding your account.
You can find your PM inbox here.
James
