Upgrade

Hi there

Just called to see when i can upgrade and was told its next week which is 190 days before the end of my contract. The lady told me that there would probably be a fee for early upgrading that early but couldnt tell me what.

I dont want to end up paying too much so i was wondering how vodafone work  out the costs and if i'd be cheaper just cancelling my contract and getting a new phone through a new supplier as my phone is about to give up the ghost.

Not really sure if i want to cancel though as my reception is good and i've never had any problem with vodafone...but better to know my options.

My phone is an HTC desire and i'm paying £31 a month.

Thanks

James

Re: Upgrade

Mine right at the start of early upgrade was £55. They fail to mention that you may also have to pay more for the phone/pm than you would do if you where upgrading normally or a new customer. I decided just to wait and upgrade normally with mine, the extra money it would of cost in the long run I could have bought the phone I was upgrading to!

Re: Upgrade

Hi Jimbo72,

I’d love to see if we can get you a great upgrade package on one of our gorgeous phones

An email is on its way to you now. If you can reply to that with the information I’ve requested we’ll be happy to call.

We’re a small team and are really popular at the moment, so don’t worry if it takes a few of days for us to respond.

Hey Jonneh,

I’ve responded to your post here.

Cheers

Ian

Re: Upgrade

Thanks Ian

I emailed back the required information but haven't had a call back yet.

I am now back to work so if there are any options for me...could you email me instead please as i can't use the phone at work. I am eager to get a replacement as my phone is on the way out and not sure whether to get a cheap PaYG for a few months and put the sim i'm paying for in that till my contract expires or just sign up for nother 2 years.

Looking forward to yor email

Thanks

James

Re: Upgrade

Hi Jimbo72,

I can see your email in the queue, however our Web Relations Team are very busy at the moment and currently in the process of calling everyone back to look at what deals can be offered.

Unfortunately due to this it does look like it will be early next week when you get your call back.

Thank you for your patience at this time.

James
