Yes -  I agree  TOTALLY -  my experience with Vodafone over the last month has been  ATROCIOUS !!.....   I have wasted a lot of time and countless  191 calls to resolve problems that any reasonable company would never had had in the beginning....

I  STILL cannot log into my account to access my bills online,  after multiple 191 calls this afternoon, and having my account 'RESET' and getting a message saying that my account needs approval... which then sends an email to me, which I accept, and then go back to Voda-crap-phone website to login, only to get the same message.   I'm tearing my hair out.

Also, I have had numerous problems with roaming calls while I am abroad,  and every time I telephone 191 for an explanation I get told a different story...  compound that with the fact that Vodafone failed to apply my 'passport' to my account and it took  5 calls and an entire morning of being told different and incompatible stories by different customer service reps, before they had to 'add a note' to my account to get money refunded ( the problem, they eventually acknowledged, was theirs! )...

... the problems haven't ended yet,  they have added another note concerning my wife's phone on my account, because something I was told by customer services appeared to be either a complete lie (or they didn't know what they were talking about).....

This is by far the WORST company I have  EVER  dealt with...   don't rely on anything their customer service reps say,  they probably don't know any more than we do about most issues  ( but I bet they'll sell you 'upgrades' pretty quick!! )

I've logged everything now,  and I now just  expect to have problems with Vodafone...   what can go wrong, will go wrong, it seems.

So what can I do ?  

    (i)     I'm compiling a log and a substantive letter to the ombudsman  (Google, - also Vodafone have to provide an address and its

            buried in their accursed website somewhere ).

    (ii)    Consult a solicitor, as I suspect that Vodafone's services may not have been on a par with what they sold - both in terms

            of documentation and description,  and Vodafone's failure to deliver a reasonable service..

    (iii)   Make sure that as many people as possible know how utterly unprofessional they are - use the web!, forums, email, etc...

           .... let as many people know what they are like as possible.

- Only 11 months left ( I think ) and they won't be seeing me again....

It’s always nice to see a new face on here however, I only wish that the circumstances were better.

I can see from your post that the experience that you have had from our customer service teams as of late has not been the best and I can definitely understand the frustration that you are feling right now in relation to your issues.

Well.... thanks for clarifying the questions about my Vodafone passport.....    I had been told so many different and contradictory things everytime I call 191 ....      I don't think I'll bother with 191 again, probably just use this forum....

I would like an email or text to confirm that my wife in the UK is not being charged (she has vodafone passport) to call me in Switzerland (I have vodafone passport)...  mobile to mobile... ( provided she remains within her free minutes ), though....   mainly because if anything odd happens with my billing (like last month) then I have some proof that this is what I've been told.  Cheers.

BUT...  I still cannot access my bills on this account, even though you have reset it....   I keep getting this message...

Your request to access My account needs to be approved by the person who set up the account. You can send them a reminder.

and every time I send a reminder it goes to my own email, and when I confirm the address the problem STILL persists...

At a guess,  its probably got something to do with the fact that I have 3 numbers on my account,  two phones and a broadband dongle - the online account for this was set up ages ago by me but never used anymore,  does this account need to be removed

too ? or do I need to use a different email address ?

You seriously wouldn't believe how hard it is to get a SIM card out of this company...!!!

After being a customer of vodafone for over eight years, I can confirm that I am now looking elsewhere....!!! Everytime over the last three years, when trying to upgrade or spend money with this company they mess it up. Even worse than this, I have now been trying to complain to the fabbled Customer Relations team in Newbury for two months. No matter what I do, none of the customer services team will raise a case with these guys, this also included the managers and managers, managers. Plus the receptionist at vodafone's head office, screens calls like and olympic drug tester.

All I want to do is to have what I believe is a serious complaint, and all that happens is I get empty promises and lies, YES THEY HAVE LIED CONSTANTLY....!!! Vodafone used to be a CAN DO company, now they are a CAN'T DO company. I never thought I would see a company break every rule in the customer service handbook, but Vodafone do it with relish...!!!

I also agree with these sentiments. Had I known what shocking customer service/communications Vodafone had I'd never have moved.

My only consolation is I chose a 12 month contract.

As well as the other initial poor service I've now been waiting all day for 2 numbers to transfer to new handsets. So much for the 'transfer will take place between 11am - 4pm' rubbish. If it wasn't for the fact my old SIM had deactivated I'd even doubt they were doing it - again, no email/text confirmation/information about the port since filling in the initial form.

I always thought Vodafone were considered a market leader in this industry but I see I was mistaken. NOT impressed!

They were up until four years ago. They had the best signal by miles and the best customer service team of any company I had dealt with. I knew I was paying more money than with other suppliers, but it was worth it, as any issues were dealt with right there and then.

It has deteriorated so badly, that I have spent over 13 hours physically on the phone, only to be told today that I had been handed over to some random in India, rather than the Customer Relations team that I had been promised previously. Being poor at your job is one thing, lying to the people who pay you is quite another.

I am so frustrated and sick of vodafone and their HORRIBLE and INFURIATING customer service. I have spent HOURS and HOURS on the phone with people who cannot fix my problem, answer my question or have no power to change a thing. I called up today to simply ask when my phone contract was up and got transferred 3 times, FINALLY after getting my answer I get asked why I am leaving (the list would be shorter as to why i would stay with them...). I explain how I have been charged thousands of dollars over my cap and when I asked HOW I did, no one could answer me. To make matters worse I paid the thousands of dollars to a company who never has reception in my area and when I call to complain I end up spending hours on the phone being transferred to who people who don't have a clue what to do and if they do I'm on hold for most of the conversation. So now I want to leave vodafone and I call them saying I don't want to be billed when they offer me a $10 handset every month on a $65 plan... so good now vodafone has redeemed themselves... no it doesn't end there! when they try and finalise the deal it seems there has been a mistake its actually 16.50 a month (this is after the man has assured me its only $10 and I have spend over 2 hours finalising this)... so i'm on hold again for another hour, he then trys to tell me he had always said 16.50, but i had recorded the conversation and he was of course wrong he had said $10. After making me wait and wait and wait I still get no compensation no "i'm sorry have a free month of calls and texts" I get NOTHING.

Long story short NEVER SIGN UP WITH VODAFONE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON A COMPANY WHO WILL NEVER HELP YOU. So I'm sure now tech support want to talk to me NO I will not waste my time with you, everything is recorded go back and listen to what I have to say, how long I have been on the phone, how much money I have spent and how ###### your customer support is.

Are you on Vodafone Australia ? You refer to dollars ?
If so a similiar forum can be found at http://community.vodafone.com.au/ as this forum is for Vodafone UK who won't be able to address your problem .

I also as a very loyal customer to vodaphone for many many years is noticing that it is a very bad and not so loyal company back to customers and dosn't look after the right people in the righ wayt to how other company's are offering. i would not recommend vodaphone to friends and family as they have done me no favors, although i have gained them custom through out the years. i even get discount through my job for line rental, but at the end of the day it's not worth it and i would be prepared to pay double for better service.

#### #### #### #### ####. there are many better networks out there. vodafone is going down hill and doesn't respect long serving customers. my loyalty means nothing and is better of else where. i have been with this voda##### company for about 10-15 years and my custom is less worthy than some one that has been with them for a week. please avoid signing a contract.

After my experiences with them since april i too am sorely regretting moving to vodaphone as well. 

Since the first week of complaining about fault in my handset i have been given nothing but false, wrong and downright misleading information and am now stuck in a repair loop with a handset that has an intermittent and gradually worsening fault that eventually makes the phone unusable  To get it working again you have to remove the battery for a day or 2.  By the time they get the phone lo and behold fault has cleared itself.  Only to come back when i get the phone back. I explain this and get told to send it in only for tech team to tell me that they cant find a fault and if its intermittent will be unlikely to replicate/fix fault due to there turnaround time for repairs and contact customer services. I do this only to be told that i have to send the phone for them to find fault!, which tech services are unable to find.

Even orange werent this frustrating to deal with! I sorely regret moving to vodafone again
