Vodafone Protect app has locked my device

I have the vodafone protect app on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S4), and the vodafone protect app has locked it.

 

It asks for a pin number, and when I try to reset my pin on the vodafone website it says "There is no valid account associated with your number."

 

I can't remember my password or pin, and i keep getting that my number isn't valid with the app.  I've had a link sent to my email but I continually get the meesage above and there is NO link to click that says "forgot my pin"

  

Any help would be much appreciated as this is just SO frustrating :smileymad:

Vodafone Protect app has locked my device

I have the vodafone protect app on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S4), and the vodafone protect app has locked it. Hi Tech team - I too have a Galaxy S4 with the Vodafone protect app on. Having taken out the SIM card and re-inserted the same SIM it now asks for a PIN which I'm sure I didn't set up in the first place. Please could you guide me through how to go about un-locking my phone.

The default PIN for the phone will be 0000.

Many thanks for reply Andrew, I was able to get hold of helpdesk and obtain PIN yesterday. All is well now. :smileyhappy:

Very impatient and frustrated... My device is locked I don't know the password and the link sent to my email is not helping . please help

The default pin is 000000. 

 

What is happening when you click the link in the email you've received?

Hi, I have the same problem! I don't know/have the vodafone protect pin. Its so frustrating :-(

Hi

Im also having the same problem where after i put my SIM into a new phone it locked the device the SIM was previously in. I haven't registered for the app and used the 0000 PIN as recommended but it doesnt allow me to unlock the device.

 

"Device locked for security reasons: Unable to connect to the server."
Dont know how I'm suppose to solve this problem...

Wellll I've been busy with this problem for about two weeks now and I've tried to get hold of vodacom several times.

I first used the suggested 082911 provided by the vodafone protect app that is currently locking my phone (082911 I have now realised after calling is the medicare ambulence service which unfortunatly cannot help with unlocking my phone)
I have also tried the 082111 number provided by the vodacom service store. Yet this number only allows me to get a PUK number which is not needed in this case, since I need a password for the vodafone protect app (i cannot reset or make a new password since the email address to which the reset link will be sent does not work)
I have then finally tried the 191 from any vodafone phone which does not exist it seems...

 

Im really not complaining, I would just like to be able to talk to someone who knows what they are doing and can assist me without the use of that email address that does not work...
