Despite being passed around from random unconnected department to the next I still haven't got a final answer from this.
I'm currently on a pretty good sim only deal - 600 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited voda-to-voda and 500meg internet for £15 a month.
It's a good deal and one I'm happy with. But I want to enable tethering. Thats it.
Wow what a task. It's a straight sim only deal, not iphone specific, so apparently I can't add tethering. Quite what needs 'adding' I don't know - its just an option that needs enabling. I will hardly use it, but its nice to have if required. I don't get near my 500meg anyway, so I don't need any extra.
People say it can't be added, then people try anyway, or try n put me through to other departments. I've been told it needs to be an iphone tariff - FINE, find me a iphone tariff with what I have now for the same price, and I'll switch.
I can jailbreak my iphone and enable it myself anyway, and vodafone wouldn't know. It just seems utterly mental that you are going to force me to switch to another network rather than effectively 'flick a switch' and turn it on!
.....and breathe. Rant over.

Hi zoonyx.
Thank you for your post, I appreciate your frustration.
I understand that the agreement you are on is fantastic and can see why you wish to stay on this, however it is not a case of flicking a switch but instead ensuring the tethering option is compatible to your existing priceplan.
If the priceplan needs to be changed we can look at this for you also and advise you of any changes, but in order for us to do anything here we need some more details.
I have sent an email to the address you registered with on here, please complete and reply to this, once we have it back we can take a closer look.
Many Thanks
