WTF I've been charged DOUBLE for out of bundle data !!!!

Despite always having been charged £5 per extra  500 MB ...

...AND RECEIVING TEXT MESSAGES TELLING ME EXACTLY THAT ...

in my last bill I was charged £5 for every 250MB used !!!!

SCANDALOUS. Just spent an hour calling 191 trying to explain this to no avail.

How can I be sent text messages telling me one thing and then get billed for double??

Very annoyed. Anyone got any suggestions?

Btw here is an exact copy of text messages received:

40506: From Vodafone: Just to let you know you've nearly used all of your extra 500MB. If you need to use more data, there is a charge of £5 incVAT per 500MB . To stop these alerts, text STOP to 40506 Sent NOV 10 @03:12 UK

Re: WTF I've been charged DOUBLE for out of bundle data !!!!

ok spoke to someone else and eventually got the refund.

But it begs the question why was i overcharged in the first place?

Has anyone else been mysteriously transferred to £5 per 250MB? Is this the new charge? and if so why I am still receiving text messages saying £5 per 500MB?

Weird.

Re: WTF I've been charged DOUBLE for out of bundle data !!!!

The T+C's changed in October - it was £5 per 500MB out of bundle, but it changed to £5 per 250MB after the change.

My advice? Buy the 500MB data bundle with 100 MMS included for £5 a month like I did. Much better value :smileyhappy:

FAO VODAFONE: The text you send when coming to the end of your data allowance needs changing as it still states £5 for 500MB.

Its almost certain that you have used it, perhaps not intetionally, I would recommend downloading an app and monitoring it on a daily basis, to work our what is causing the charges,
